Saying that everything is false contradicts the implication of admitting that it has a true meaning in saying pure words, and it also harms the phrase "I said." Permanence harms meaningful things, and meaningful things harm permanence. That is, refuting the self-nature of the subject is the proponent. If you did not say the sentence "all languages have false meanings," because everything you said is false. Because that has a true meaning, this refutes "I said." The way to refute the difference of the subject is: that language depends on the cause of expressing intention, and it is meaningless to produce, because it is permanent. The way to refute the self-nature of the dharma is: language, the subject, is without expressive meaning, because it is permanent. The way to refute the difference of the dharma is: language, the subject, does not show falsehood either, because it is permanent. The intention for this is, in the self-commentary of the Sutra, it says: If you refute with the self-nature of language, then it is refuting the difference between the two. This does not enter the meaning of the words, and it is also inconsistent with the intention of one's own school to refute meaningful things with permanence and to refute permanence with meaningful things, because the latter two are both refuting meaningful things with permanence. Also, some wise people say: It is impossible for language to enter the object, because it is impossible to have true words. This refutes the self-nature of the subject. Saying that language is a false word itself is also unreasonable, because the language that says that also has a false meaning. This refutes the self-nature of the dharma. Saying that the author of the language expressing intention is meaningless, because language is permanent. This refutes the difference of the subject. Showing that what is said is not true itself is unreasonable, because language is permanent. This refutes the difference of the dharma. The first two of what is said are in accordance with what is said in the self-commentary of the Sutra: If you completely refute language and falsehood, then it is refuting the self-nature of both. The latter two have already been refuted before. One's own school is that what I said is the difference of the subject, and in general, showing the meaning of what is said is the difference of the dharma, and those two are what should be refuted. The refuter is in the self-commentary of the Sutra, it says: If you refute with the falsehood of the self-nature of language, then (it is refuting the self-nature of both).

It should be done like this: Such a statement is the subject of the proposition. It should not be my pure self-utterance, because it has a false meaning. Also, it is the subject of the proposition. It should not reveal the meaning of what is said, because it has a false meaning. Thus it is said. Secondly, regarding the examination of the faults and merits of what appears to be a valid proof, in terms of reality and incidentally, as well as in terms of the subject, etc., there are two parts. The first part has two aspects: definition and classification. Firstly, some people think that whatever is to be proven by a valid proof is to be inferred from what appears to be a valid proof. This view is not reasonable, because the unestablished proof in the example that is being established as a proof is also what appears to be a valid proof. Otherwise, sound is impermanent, which is the subject of the proposition, should be what is to be explained, because it has that nature. If the latter proof is not established, then what is the reason why sound is permanent is to be inferred from what appears to be a valid proof? Because there are fallacious arguments about it. If you say so, then the former is also the same. The self-view is: Whatever is to be proven by a valid proof is what cannot be proven by a true proof. Secondly, it is divided into five types: what has already been established by the opponent, what is being established as a proof, what is not the subject of the present proposition, what the opponent does not want to establish due to cowardice, and what has already included what has been refuted by valid cognition. The first four are in order: In the view of Dharmakirti, such as sound is impermanent; in the view of the opponent who does not admit that sound is produced, when establishing sound as impermanent, when establishing sound as produced as a proof, such as sound is produced; when establishing sound as impermanent, such as sound is permanent is the quality of space; and the Samkhya school, when they establish "eye etc. is the subject of the proposition, it is for the sake of others," such as eye etc. is only for the sake of others. The fifth is: such as sound is not audible, the pot is permanent, and happiness does not arise from enjoying charity etc., and the moon with a rabbit cannot be expressed by the sound of the moon. Secondly, it is divided into three faults of the sign, the subject, and the example, and three merits of those three, totaling six. Regarding this, there are two types of examination: examination of the definition and classification, and examination of the categories. Firstly, it is divided into two types: negation and establishment. The first is: Some people think that what becomes the object of elimination of the definition of a true sign is the definition of the fault of the sign. From this, the fault of the subject and the fault of the example are also explained. The two, the fault of the sign and the one with the fault of the sign, are only distinguished by the opposite, and the two are not different in meaning, for example:
