It should also be understood that the nature of the subject is eliminated. For example, a whole with parts is not separate from its parts, because it does not adhere to minute differences. The parts are not separate from the whole with parts, because there is the fault of becoming non-manifest. Substance is not existent, because there is the fault of qualities and substances becoming substance and non-substance. Similarly, saying that "all words have false meanings," if language and the nature of language both have false meanings, then the existing language is false. If language and falsehood eliminate everything, then both will eliminate their own nature. If the nature of language is eliminated by falsehood, then the difference between the two will be revealed, so it is said. Secondly, this "also" etc. is a summary of the previous text. The meaning from "in this way" to "should be understood" is explained by one verse, "Established by this, becoming a part," etc. The meaning from "for example" onwards is explained from "For this, the meaning is to show" to "Other examples should also be understood." The Ornament Maker believes that the way of harming the difference of the subject is directly shown, while others are shown implicitly. Lha believes that the way of harming the difference of the dharma is directly shown, while others are shown symbolically. The meaning of the scripture tends towards the latter, in short, it sequentially shows the difference of the dharma, the difference of the subject, and the way of recognizing the nature of the subject itself. And, first, in recognizing, it is said that because it does not adhere to minute differences. The scripture says "the subject and the difference of the dharma," which is done to facilitate the combination of verses. The third part is divided into two points: determining the false commitment to be harmed, and explaining the reasoning that harms it. The first part is divided into two points: the tenets of the Vaisheshika school and the commitment to the meaning of establishing those tenets. The first point is that the Vaisheshikas, according to the statement "substance, quality, action, generality, particularity, and inherence are six," believe that all knowable things are included in six categories of meaning. Among them, substance is the basis for other things such as qualities, namely the four elements.

Space, direction, time, self, and mind, these are the nine. Among these, the latter five, such as space, and the individual atoms of the four elements (འབྱུང་བཞི།), are permanent substances; the first part with components formed by the aggregation of two atoms onwards are impermanent substances. Qualities are dependent on other substantial meanings, as stated in the Sutra of Foot and Eye: Form, smell, taste, touch, etc., number, quantity, individuality, possession, distinction, other, non-other, intelligence, pleasure, suffering, desire, hatred, and effort are qualities. Kamalaśīla said: What is summarized by the word "etc." is heaviness, oiliness, compositeness, dharma, non-dharma, and sounds. Sometimes warmth and moisture are also described as qualities, so there are twenty-five in this way. Action is described in the Sutra of Foot and Eye as: stretching, contracting, lifting, placing, and walking are actions. Generality is a different entity from the excluded things, which becomes the cause for the application of one sound cognition to the excluded things. There are two types of generality: the great generality such as existence itself, and the limited generality such as cow-ness itself. Particularity is a function that distinguishes the basis in which it resides from other phenomena. Combination is the object of cognition that holds that this exists in the basis and the dependent phenomena, such as the relationship between a vase and color meeting. Therefore, both the part and the whole are considered to be the substance of the four elements among the nine substances. The way in which atoms form gross matter is that when two different kinds of atoms of the four elements combine, it is a conclusive thesis that they do not form a whole. When two atoms of the same kind combine, they actually generate a whole, which is called the two-part and the first whole. These two and the individual atoms are considered to be invisible and do not perform functions such as obstruction. A lump of three atoms combined is the three-part and the second whole, which is called the coarse whole that can be directly seen. The second is that it can be directly seen and obstructs.
