It is said that there are "two kinds of fame." Although there are two ways to explain it, there is no difference when applying it. Therefore, there are two ways to explain it, and it is wrong to explain it as entity and attachment. As it is said. Second, the self-school is: In the first way of explanation, the meaning of the first scripture is: Because there is no inference that harms the fame of sound arising, it shows that it is not harmed by valid people. Because all the reasons for proving that "the word 'moon with a rabbit' cannot be expressed" are reasons for the complete absence of the same kind, it shows that there is no inference based on it. This is shown in the Commentary on Valid Cognition by three and a half verses such as "That rejection is transformed by inference." The meaning of the second scripture is: It shows that the fame of sound arising has no competitors. Because it shows that there is no correct relationship that does not violate, it shows that there is a correct relationship that proves that "the word 'moon with a rabbit' can be expressed." This is shown in the Commentary on Valid Cognition by one verse, "Those accomplished by inference." In the second way of explanation, also because the meaning of "because of what is not common" is: It shows that the inference of fame is different from the object of the present force inference. Because "the word 'moon with a rabbit' cannot be expressed" is not the object of the present force inference, it shows that there is no correct relationship of the force of the real object joining in proving it. Because all the reasons for proving it are reasons for the complete absence of the same kind, it shows that there is no inference based on it. This is shown in the Commentary on Valid Cognition by "Also in the world's speech," and so on. As it is, the Treasury of Reasoning also says: "The former, in the fame of sound arising, is not rejected because there is no inference, or there are no competitors in it, so it is a harm doer because of certainty. The latter, from the inference of fame, is to show the difference of the object. Those who know it in this way, the removal of fame, accomplish the intention of the wise." As it is said. Fifth, the necessity of saying self-reliance is: Then, when explaining the fundamental difference of removal, what is the necessity of saying "in self-reliance"? There are three necessities: Because it harms the dharma that serves as the basis of other dharmas, it harms the present establishment

Because, in order to know that it does not harm the established (dharma), but harms the subject of the occasion that serves as the basis for the established (dharma), therefore it harms the established of the occasion; in order to eliminate the wrong conception that only harming the established (dharma) is considered harming the established; in order to eliminate the wrong conception that harming other unrelated dharmas is considered harming the established of the occasion. If you want to know what the latter wrong conception is like, for example, for the Vaiseṣika who believes that space is a permanent substance, the Buddhist says, space, the subject of dharma, is not a permanent substance, because it does not produce its own fruit at the same time, so it is said. The other party says, that reason harms that space is a permanent substance, so it harms that space is a real thing, harms it, so it harms the subject of dharma space, in this way, will it harm the established that establishes that space is not a permanent substance? Answer: Harming that space is a real thing will not harm space, because the two are not related. Also, for admitting that harming the subject of dharma of the occasion, it harms the established. The Samkhya says, when you Buddhists establish that happiness etc. are not permanent substances, if you establish not producing your own fruit at the same time as the cause, then the emptiness of function becomes a bad cause, therefore, it harms happiness etc. real things, therefore, it harms impermanence, therefore, the pervasion contradiction will arise. Answer: There is no fault, if the emptiness of function becomes a bad cause, it can become a bad cause like that, but if you establish producing your own fruit in sequence as the cause, then the pervasion does not contradict, because that and impermanence are not contradictory. In short, in the Pramāṇasūtra, by "perception and meaning" it is expressed that the basis of harm by perception, such as sound, is the sound of meaning self-character, although it is expressed in this way, but the basis of harm of factual inference and, belief and, fame, is the knowable subject of dharma of those three correct causes, it is expressed in this way. Second, there are three explanations of the meaning of the pledge to refute the differences of dharma, etc.: the way it is said in the sutras, the way it is explained in the commentaries, and the determination of the intention of those. First, in the sutras, "perception and meaning" etc., at the beginning of the root text and commentary, this is also just a way of expressing the elimination of the contradiction of the self-nature of dharma, this aspect is the difference between dharma and subject of dharma and dharma.
