As it is said, "Like illusions and the like," and "The knowable and the knowing are not different, like the difference in the knowledge of hair and so on," there are three: the distinction between conventional and ultimate valid cognition, identifying the nature of examining truth and falsehood, and the difference between truth and falsehood. First, all valid cognitions in the continuum of ordinary beings are conventional valid cognitions, and the wisdom of each of the noble ones' meditative equipoise is ultimate valid cognition. Second, sense consciousnesses appear as coarse aspects such as blue and yellow, and also appear as aspects such as color and shape. They appear as many particles gathered together, capable of occupying space. This is because "therefore, object and consciousness." So it is said. Dharmottara says: If the coarse appearance that appears to sense consciousness is true, then the external object does not exist and is only a name. For example, the word "embodied" (Tibetan: རྭཾ་ཟིངཾ་ངེཾ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ram zim ngem,Sanskrit Romanization: ram zim ngem,Literal Chinese meaning: rang zen e) does not exist. Third, the self-cognition of all self-aware direct perceptions is experienced in a way that the duality of subject and object disappears, without the slightest defilement of ignorance. Other than that, in the continuum of what appears to others, there is no consciousness that is not defiled by ignorance. This is the view of the Mind-Only school. The Realist school believes that there is no defilement of ignorance in the sense perception that appears to others. Therefore, they say that the object of apprehension that appears due to the absence of defilement of ignorance is real, and the object of appearance that appears due to the presence of defilement of ignorance is false. This is not reasonable, because the Realist school should also admit that there is defilement of ignorance in the consciousness that appears to others. Because the three, apprehending subject, apprehended object, and consciousness, appear as distinct, this is due to the defilement of ignorance. Because "wisdom and self-nature are not different." So it is said. If you think that this treatise is only the view of the Mind-Only school, then when sense consciousness appears in itself, is it given by blue or does it arise from habit? If it is the former, then it will become the view of the Sutra school. If it is the latter, then it contradicts the fact that this treatise is only the view of the Mind-Only school. Therefore, both the Realist and Mind-Only schools believe that there is defilement of ignorance in the sense consciousness that appears to others. The Realist school believes that the three, apprehending subject, apprehended object, and consciousness, appear as distinct, which is defiled by ignorance.

are believed to appear due to the power of, and the appearance of the apprehended aspect as a false aspect is also believed to appear due to the power of being defiled by ignorance. In our own system, the appearance of sense consciousness at its own time is a form of distinguishing between true and false aspects, and it is believed that it is known by the true aspect, and that the false aspect is falsely attributed as true in any object consciousness, such as "How, how to think about things." And so on, therefore, for object and consciousness, "Whether coarse appearance exists or not." And, "If someone analyzes things, then there is no real thing in it. Why is it that on them, there is no nature of one and many." Third, there are two explanations of the reasoning for establishing the two aspects of mind and self-awareness: the two aspects of mind, and the establishment of self-awareness. The first has four parts: in front of whom to establish, which mind to establish, the nature of the two aspects to be established, and the explanation of the reasoning for establishing the two aspects. The first has two parts: negation and establishment. The first is: Some say that the two aspects that admit external objects are established by the former opponent, the Sautrantika, in front of the opponent, the Vaibhashika, and the two aspects that do not admit external objects are established by the former opponent, the Cittamatra, in front of the opponent, the Sautrantika and below, which is unreasonable, because the Sautrantika is an opponent who has already established the two aspects and does not forget them. The second is: There are two reasons for establishing the two aspects of admitting external objects and not admitting external objects. The first is: the former opponent, the Sautrantika, and the second is: the former opponent, the Cittamatra, establishes in front of the opponent, the Vaibhashika and below, because it is necessary to establish in front of the opponent who believes that consciousness is without aspects. Second, some say that all minds are established as two aspects, because all minds arise with the appearance of their own objects, which is unreasonable, because the direct perception of self-awareness directly realizes the aspectless, naked consciousness that has become its own experience, and the direct perception of non-appearance yoga realizes the form of the disappearance of the dualistic appearance of its own object. Our own system is that all object-appearing consciousness is established in that way, because it is necessary to prevent what appears at its own time from being an object, and to establish it in front of consciousness. Third, the form of object and subject
