Everything is everywhere. The self-condition is established as the acting cause. As the Treasury states: "Cause is called the five causes, mind and arising mental factors, similar, non-subsequent, and immediate, objects are all phenomena, the acting cause is said to be independent." So, from which conditions do things arise? Mind and mental factors arise from all four conditions. Absorption arises from three conditions excluding the objective condition. Other things arise from the causal condition and the self-condition. As the Treasury states: "Mind and mental factors from four conditions, the two absorptions from three, others arise from these two." Secondly, here, the actual cause of direct perception is definitely three conditions. As the Commentary on Valid Cognition states: "For example, happiness and so on, cannot arise without an object, happiness and so on, which are related to the object as it is, do not arise without that assembly." Happiness and so on cannot arise without an object. It is also not possible without the sense faculty, because those related to form and so on are not seen without the sense faculty of their object, and they also arise when the sense faculty is intact and present. It is also not possible without attention, because even if both are assembled, it is absent for those whose minds are obscured by sleep and so on. For the arising of consciousness, only this assembly of causes is sufficient. Here it also says: "That is also the sense faculty, object, true intelligence, or attention turns to the former, apart from this assembly of cause and effect, there is no other connection." Therefore, is it not admitting the causal condition at all? No, it is considered that the three conditions themselves are the causal condition, because it always follows it, and whatever exists benefits, therefore, the meaning of cause is complete in these three conditions. Does the Vaibhashika also not admit a causal condition other than the three conditions? No, the causal condition is considered to be the five causes other than the acting cause, and for the co-emergent cause and the pervasive cause, it is possible to have the complete homogeneous and immediate condition, but the simultaneous cause and the associated cause are simultaneous with the result, so it is impossible to become the immediate condition.

Moreover, the cause of the resultant fruit is the cause of the same kind, so it is not any of the three conditions. The meaning of the self-condition is considered to be the co-existent cause, and the meaning of the co-existent cause refers to all phenomena other than itself. The third view is: Some people think that for the erroneous sense consciousness, there is no objective condition, because: The mind's wisdom measures things, and it is impossible for things to be completely established. And, the appearance of hair is meaningless. It can also be established by reasoning, because for it, from its own side, there is no cause to create a similar image. This is unreasonable, because the first scripture is the occasion to prevent the existence of the object of the mind's intellect and discrimination. The second scripture only shows that its object of perception does not exist, but it does not show that there is no objective condition. The argument of reasoning is also unreasonable, because if it is an objective condition, it must be the cause of creating an image, but it does not have to be the cause of creating a similar image from its own side. Therefore, the erroneous sense consciousness has its objective condition, because the flame of the lamp is the objective condition of the sense consciousness that holds the small round flame of the lamp, because it is the external source that becomes its direct cause. This is pervasive, because the sutra says that only these collections of causes produce consciousness. It is its direct cause, because whatever is its cause, and there is no other dharma that separates between the two. The first is established, because the flame of the lamp is enough. Both are pure, but neither is the cause. In short, the object of perception of the non-erroneous sense consciousness is generally the creator of images, and specifically the creator of similar images, so it is both the object of perception and the objective condition. And the sense consciousness of one moon appearing as two moons is only the creator of images, not the creator of similar images, so it is the objective condition, but not the object of perception, which is the difference. In addition, in general, of the object and the objective of the way of holding of the erroneous sense consciousness, the former does not exist, otherwise it would lead to the existence of a white conch being yellow, one moon being two moons, and so on. The latter exists, because there is an external source that becomes its direct cause.
