Regarding the meaning of the statement "cannot arise from the mental faculty," some people think that, according to the literal meaning, the mental faculty cannot arise from the mental faculty, which is the view of the Compendium of Reasoning, and refute it, which is merely enjoying refutations without commitment. Because the mental faculty not arising from the mental faculty is not the view of the Compendium of Reasoning. Some people think that this is the view of the Compendium of Reasoning and argue for it, which is also unreasonable, because the consciousness of the sense faculty itself is the mental faculty, and the later sense consciousness arises from the former sense consciousness. Some people think that it means that the former mental faculty, which is the dominant condition of the mental manifestation, cannot give rise to the later mental faculty, which is also unreasonable, because each moment of sense manifestation is the dominant condition of the mental manifestation. Some people think that it means that the mental faculty transformed into mental manifestation cannot give rise to the mental faculty transformed into mental manifestation, which has not grasped the meaning of the words. If so, then the meaning of "the sense faculty arises from the form sense faculty" must also be explained as the form sense faculty transformed into sense manifestation gives rise to the form sense faculty transformed into sense manifestation, which is too much. Therefore, the meaning should be as follows: Sense manifestation has permanence, because sense manifestation has a dominant condition different from the material stream of its immediate cause, that is, the former form sense faculty gives rise to the latter form sense faculty. Mental manifestation is impermanent, because the dominant condition different from the material stream of the immediate cause of mental manifestation, that is, the former mental faculty cannot give rise to the latter mental faculty. This is pervasive, because the stream of the immediate cause of mental manifestation is the stream of sense manifestation, not the stream of mental manifestation. The former argument is established, because the immediate cause and the dominant condition of mental manifestation are the same substance. Therefore, the three causes of sense manifestation have three different material streams, and the material stream of the immediate cause is the material stream of sense manifestation itself, so sense manifestation has permanence. However, the immediate cause and the objective condition of mental manifestation have their own material streams, but the immediate cause and the dominant condition do not have their own material streams, and the material stream of the immediate cause is also the material stream of sense manifestation, not the material stream of mental manifestation itself, so it is impermanent, which is the view of the Great Self.

There is no inversion. However, after Sakya Pandita, no one other than myself has realized this. Third, self-cognizance is directly perceived, as stated in the Compendium on Valid Cognition: 'Attachment, etc., self-cognizance is non-conceptual.' This is defined by establishing the meaning of the root text and commentary. It is divided into three parts: definition, example, and classification. First part: Some say that the knowledge of awareness is the way in which the dual appearance of one's own object disappears. Others say that the knowledge of awareness is the way in which the dual appearance of one's own experience disappears. For the first statement, the Dharma nature of the noble lineage, the wisdom of single-pointed concentration, is the subject, and should be the referent, because it is the definition. If you admit it, if it is yogic direct perception, then it must be self-cognizant direct perception. For both, the self-cognizant direct perception that experiences the apprehended aspect appearing as distant from oneself is the subject, and should be the definition, because it is the referent, because there is such a case. If it is not established, then such an apprehended aspect is the subject, you experience self-cognizant direct perception, because you are consciousness. It cannot be admitted fundamentally, because one's own object appears as distant from oneself. Some say that according to the Sautrāntika school, the object that has become one's own nature is the knowledge of awareness; according to the Cittamatra school, one's own apprehended object is the knowledge of awareness. For the first statement, the direct perception of the sense consciousness grasping blue is the subject, and should be the referent, because it is the definition, because it is the knowledge of awareness of the apprehended aspect that has become one's own nature. The second statement is also unreasonable, because in general, the Cittamatra school does not have an apprehended object, and in particular, self-cognizant direct perception does not have an apprehended object. Some say that the consciousness that is directed only inward is also unreasonable, because the self-cognizant direct perception that experiences omniscience is not certain. Some say that consciousness directed inward, then the direct perception of the sense consciousness grasping blue, the memory consciousness of recollection, is the subject, and should be the referent, because it is the definition. One's own tenet is that one's own essence is the grasping aspect of the experiencing subject. Second part: All consciousness is self-cognizant direct perception in relation to its own essence, but it is not self-cognizant direct perception when viewed from itself. Therefore, the clear and knowing aspect of the experience of all consciousness is an example of self-cognizant direct perception. Among them, there are two types of self-cognizant direct perception: with dual appearance and without dual appearance. The first is, one mind.
