I listened to many works, including the treatises on logic composed by Sorong Zexen. The meaning of those works was determined without any error, and he compiled the meaning of the sutras, including the seven treatises, into one place and composed the "Treasury of Reasoning." He taught it to his chief sons, the three upper, middle, and lower ones, and to his relatives, the three Khang, Nyen, and Xiang, until he was sixty-three years old, so the tradition of explaining the "Commentary on Valid Cognition" is as clear as the sun to this day. Third, identifying the system that is superior to that is: among those traditions of explanation, this tradition of explaining the "Treasury of Reasoning" is particularly superior. This is superior in terms of cause, in terms of result, in terms of sign, and in terms of the way of teaching, there are four. First, the Dharma Lord himself said: "Having studied diligently in other lives, relying on many wise people, with the wisdom of discernment, one obtains fearlessness in all that is to be known." As it is said, among the three causes, the first, having studied diligently in other lives, in the sky where Dharma was taught in Sakya, Jetsun Drakpa Gyaltsen said: "You have been a learned pandita in the five sciences for twenty-seven lives from human to human, and I am the lama during that time." Later he said, "The lama of the twenty-five lives in Kyewo Khadang (place name) is me." Therefore, this meaning also appears in the words of praise. Second, relying on many wise people, as mentioned before, starting from glorious Dharmakirti, possessing the unbroken lineage of Indian panditas. He heard the treatises on logic from the Kashmiri Great Pandit and his disciples. Third, the wisdom of discernment is that when Jetsun Rinpoche asked for the profound path of the guru yoga, he saw the essence of all Buddhas as Manjushri, so he understood the essence of all dharmas without any error, and he attained inconceivable samadhi and realization, and it is said that even the arrogant kings of China and Tibet prostrated, and all the goodness of Dharma and the world was spontaneously accomplished. This meaning also appears in the words of praise. Second, being superior in terms of result is: teaching

Then, among the three: writing, debating, the first has been slightly discussed before, the second will be discussed below, and the third is that the six non-Buddhist teachers, such as the Joyful Thief from southern India, started to debate. When he was staying at the Arya Vati Temple in Kyirong of Mangyul and the Adabjor market, when those six teachers arrived, he refuted those evil opponents one by one, defeated them, placed them in the ascetic practice of silence, and again removed the defilement of arrogance from the evil views of all of them. He shaved off his dreadlocks and ordained in front of him. In order to ensure that the moment of possessing precious wealth would surely come, when those who harmed the teachings of the Shakya King appeared, he would subdue them again in the same way. Thinking this, he said these words: On this vast earth with the ocean as its garment, the great god, the thief, the slave, those who worship the powerful ones as gods, the righteous man Star Joy, etc., the widespread Ant City dweller and the followers of the remnant eaters, the foot-eyed, and the yellow-robed ones, with disheveled hair, tree bark, leaf clothes, holding ashes, staffs, and kusha grass, holding dreadlocks, skillfully wrapped with Manjushri, wearing deerskin upper garments, with three lines marked at the top, holding the sacred thread for the sake of worship, mastering the Vedas, skilled in chanting, mastering sound and rhythm, constantly holding the view of self, constantly practicing asceticism with arrogance, the heretical elephant with such characteristics, crushing the head of the extremely intoxicated one, the glorious Lion of Eloquence, possessing wisdom and strength, possessing the fangs of reason, the grammar treatise with complete branches, adorned with the dreadlocks of the Sugata's teachings, skilled in Sanskrit, making a loud noise with reason, thoroughly refuting, glaring with wide eyes, such a King of Deer, dwells on the auspicious Sakya Snow Mountain, protects the deer herds of the wise, destroys the fox packs of evil opponents, and may he continue to defeat all heretics with the Dharma, may he hold high the victory banner of the Sugata's teachings! Thus he spoke, and this also appears in the words of praise. Third, from the perspective of signs, what is particularly outstanding is that in his youth, he had a dream.
