The nature of exclusion is: the self-characteristics that become the objects of its appearance. The second characteristic: the imputation to be understood as a complete exclusion by conceptual consciousness. The basis is: other exclusions of existence, etc. Exclusion is divided into two: the exclusion distinguished by the establishment of appearance: to be understood as a distinction by consciousness. Divisions: non-affirmative and negative. The nature of the first: to be understood as a complete exclusion by conceptual consciousness after distinguishing the object to be negated. This and the establishment of exclusion have the same meaning. The nature of the second: to be understood only as a distinction by conceptual consciousness after distinguishing the object to be negated. This and negative have the same meaning. In the "Commentary on the Treasury of Reasoning," it is said that the intention of stating the characteristics of projecting other dharmas and not projecting after distinguishing the object to be negated is this, because distinguishing the object to be negated is also in the place of exclusion, and projecting other dharmas and not projecting are also in the place of exclusion, and because the establishment and exclusion in the place of exclusion, and the negative and non-affirmative, have the same meaning. Projecting other dharmas is also divided into two types: projecting other dharmas by distinguishing the object to be negated in words, and projecting other dharmas after distinguishing in meaning even if not distinguishing in words. The former is like: the place of vases, etc., appearing to consciousness. The latter is like: the vase appearing to consciousness. Although the object to be negated is not distinguished in words, if the other exclusions that are independent as subjects, such as the reverse of being made and the reverse of impermanence, establish that subject, it is considered non-affirmative. This is the view of the great self-master, that is: the previous establishers, for the sake of establishing non-affirmative. This is quoted from the "Treasury of Reasoning" as the knowledge of non-affirmative, and this non-affirmative is placed on the establishment of the cause of the fruit's own nature, because it is the meaning of the time. May the wishes of Sakya Pandita be fulfilled! The nature of exclusion distinguished by the establishment of exclusion: to be understood only as a distinction by consciousness after distinguishing the object to be negated, that is, these two, negative and non-affirmative, should be represented by the same characteristic. Secondly, there are three types: negative, affirmative, and abandonment. The first is: the previous scholars, such as the great Phawa, said that the characteristics of direct perception and inference are in order:

As it is. To eliminate superimposition by way of the appearance of the thing itself, and to eliminate superimposition by way of the appearance of another. Moreover, when the actual object is realized, superimposition is indirectly eliminated, so there is no sequential order of before and after. Regarding how it negates and establishes, to give an example of establishment: When inferential cognition directly measures that there is fire on the mountain, it indirectly realizes that it is measuring the fire itself. When the negation of the made is directly realized on the permanent, it indirectly realizes that impermanence pervades the made that is being remembered. Regarding direct perception, there are two types: Self-awareness directly establishes the cognition as the grasper, so it indirectly establishes the appearance on that object. Other-awareness directly establishes the appearance on that object, so it indirectly establishes the cognition as the grasper. To give an example of negation: Since the apprehension of the two-fold distinction pervades the apprehension of a single word, when the apprehension of the single word of the general class is directly negated, the apprehension of the two-fold distinction of the particular class is indirectly negated, just as when the distinguishing characteristic of a stick is negated, the distinguished characteristic of a stick-holder is negated, as it is said. This is not reasonable, because the subject, inference, should be the measure of indirect realization, because it possesses that characteristic. There is no fault, if it is said that whatever object eliminates superimposition is the measure of indirect realization. Then the subject, the inference that realizes there is fire on the mountain, should be the measure of indirect realization of the fire on the mountain, because it is the cognition that eliminates superimposition on it by way of the appearance of another thing. The probandum of both the former and the latter is established, because the sensory direct perception of grasping fire is the cognition that directly eliminates superimposition on it by way of the appearance of the fire itself. The sign is accepted, the pervasion is established, because: "It is the nature of self and other, therefore, for the sake of realization, it is established as two measures." Because it is said. If it is said that inference relies on the sign, and indirect realization does not rely on the sign, so there is no fault. Then does indirect realization rely on the relation or not? If it is the former, then it does not go beyond inference, and if it is the latter, then there will be a third measure. It is also not reasonable that inference directly establishes that there is fire on the mountain, so it indirectly establishes that it is measuring the fire itself, because the cognition that realizes there is fire on the mountain is the cognition that measures the fire, and there is no other cognition that is indirectly established besides that. If it is said that it is measuring the fire itself
