Now, there is no classification and arrangement, just as the conceptual mind mistakenly judges it as different from various errors, and it is actually so. Classifying and arranging as the world says, one can obtain the self-character of entering the object, because whatever has both name and reality, each other is the seed of this difference. As it is said: "Whatever has both name and reality, each other is the seed of difference." And it is said: "How the world says, just rely on it." Similarly, with the reason previously stated, although the relationship of arising from it is not established in reality, it is established in the mind, because for the previous fire and the current smoke, with the non-perception of the three times led by direct perception, etc., the current smoke is connected with the previous fire, and the object of this connection is established as the relationship of arising from it. As it is said in the "Examination of Relationship": "From direct perception and non-perception, the objects of cause and effect, like the meaning of relationship, the true meaning, the discriminating mind that shows it is wrong." And as it is said in the "Pramāṇaviniścaya": "In the ultimate truth, for existing things, there are no objects of dharma and dharmins, these relationships are merely constructions of the mind." Secondly, it is divided into three: the definition of relationship, the meaning of words, and the classification. First, some say: "If there is no difference, it will not arise." Some say: "If your dharma negates the dharma that is different from it, you must be negated, that is the definition of the relationship between your dharma and that dharma." This statement is unreasonable, because a cow, as another thing that has no relationship with a horse, should have a relationship with a horse, because it has that definition. If you admit it, then it will be harmed by the three: scripture, reason, and self-contradiction. First, as it is said: "People have no horses, don't they have livestock?" Second, that dharma, should have a relationship of arising from it with the horse, because it is a different thing from the horse. Third, saying "other things that have no relationship with the horse," this admits that there is no relationship with the horse, but actually admits that there is a relationship. The self-system believes that any dharma, in the mind of non-inverted exclusion, does not abandon other dharmas. Second, the Sanskrit word for relationship is bandha (बन्ध,bandha), sambandha (sambandha) is completely bound, pratibandha (pratibandha) is bound separately, that is, on the level of exclusion, the two are bound as unrelated.

The connection of the ground. The third part has two aspects: the actual division and the identification of the basis on which the connection exists. The first part has five aspects: the basis of division, the nature of division, the reason for division, the meaning of how to divide, and the determination of the number of divisions. The first is just the connection itself. The second is two types of connection: self-identical connection and produced-from-it connection. The respective definitions are: any phenomenon that does not abandon other phenomena by the power of the same nature in terms of exclusion; and any phenomenon that does not abandon other phenomena by the power of arising from it in terms of exclusion. The third is by the power of having both the same nature and arising from it. The fourth is: in relation to each basis, the essence is the same, because smoke is a self-identical connection in relation to its own generality, and a produced-from-it connection in relation to its own cause. In relation to one basis, the essence is different, because if a phenomenon is a self-identical connection to it, then being a produced-from-it connection to it is contradictory. The fifth is: the connection is definitely two, because all knowable things are included in two: same essence and different essence. Among them, those with connections to the same essence are self-identical connections, and those with connections to different essences are included in produced-from-it connections. The second part is: some say that because non-things do not have their own essence, connections cannot be established, and connections are established on things. This is not reasonable, because ultimate connections cannot be established on either, while connections made by mind can be established even on non-things. As stated in the Examination of Connections: "Connections made by mind, who can prevent them even for non-existent things?" Some say that connections can be established on substances, but not on categories. This is also refuted by the previous reasoning. Some say that produced-from-it connections cannot be established on instants, because they have no function of benefiting it. As stated in the Sutra: "All conditioned phenomena are momentary, they do not remain, where is there any function?" And here it also says: "Since it is momentary, from what does action arise?" This is not reasonable, because instants do have the function of benefiting them, but ordinary minds cannot ascertain it. As stated in the Determination of Validity: "Momentary things are possible to benefit."
