Because it abides there, there is no third aggregate in between. Therefore, there is no connection in meaning between individual characteristics of entities. It is impossible for many natures to be mixed into one, as the Samkhya school believes. Because the clear individual characteristic itself has no connection to itself. As it is said in the Examination of Connection: "If connection is only dependent on others, then what is the use of depending on others? Therefore, there is no true connection between all things." Some Tibetans say that there is a connection between non-entities and entities. Otherwise, for the reason of one and different, there is no entity as the subject, so a connection between entities is impossible. Because the object of negation does not exist in meaning, a reverse connection is also impossible, then the reason for the complete absence of connection would be valid. Therefore, even if there is a connection between non-entities and entities, it cannot be determined, so it is necessary to rely on reverse connection to determine it. This is not reasonable. If there is a connection of the same essence between non-entities and entities, then it will become an entity of nature. If there is a connection arising from it, then it will become a causal entity. Furthermore, the definition of connection is not established in the ultimate sense for both entities and non-entities. The definition of connection is: whatever does not abandon other things. But since entities do not mix with each other, there is no such thing as not abandoning other things in the ultimate sense. Because non-entities are not established as entities, this does not exist. As it is said in the Examination of Connection: "Even if contradictory, the definition of connection exists in both, but not elsewhere." The meaning of the word "connection" is also not established in the ultimate sense. Both Buddhists and non-Buddhists consider the word "sambandha" (藏文:སམ་བྷནྡྷ་,梵文天城体:सम्बन्ध,梵文罗马拟音:sambandha,汉语字面意思:结合) for connection to mean correctly bound, or "pratibandha" (藏文:པྲ་ཏི་བནྡྷ་,梵文天城体:प्रतिबन्ध,梵文罗马拟音:pratibandha,汉语字面意思:互相束缚) to mean separately bound and the two do not abandon each other. But as before, this is not established for both entities and non-entities. Considering this, the Bhagavan said in the sutra: "All dharmas are without connection." The second part has three points: refuting the connection of a single self that is established in meaning, refuting the connection of arising from that which is established in meaning, and refuting connections other than that. The first point is: all knowable things are included in entities and non-entities, among which non-entities do not have a connection of a single self established in meaning. Because the non-entity itself in meaning

Because it is not established. The relation of a single self to a thing is not established in meaning, because a thing is a combination of separate entities and one or two. From the first aspect, the meaning of a single self relation does not exist. From the latter aspect, there is one and two separate contradictions. From the first aspect, the meaning of relation does not exist. From the latter aspect, if separate contradictions exist in meaning, then it is too much for the contradiction to become an entity. The second aspect has two types: refuting the relation of cause and effect entities, and refuting the relation of cause and effect types. The first aspect has three types: refuting the relation of cause and effect sequence, refuting the single relation, and refuting the dependent relation. The first aspect is that for separate entities at the same time, there is no possibility of a 'that-born' relation. For things that are not at the same time, such as fire and smoke, the 'that-born' relation is not established in meaning, because when the cause fire exists, the effect smoke has not arisen, so it is not a thing. When the effect smoke arises, the cause fire has already ceased, so it is not a thing. Therefore, when one of them exists as a thing, the other is not a thing. In the Examination of Relations it says: The entities of cause and effect, those two cannot exist together, how can one exist? How can two not exist be related? Because it is said so. The second aspect is that if the relation does not need to depend on two dharmas, but the two relations are established on each of the separate fire and smoke. That is unreasonable, because it would lead to no unrelated things, and it would be too much, that is, seeing one of the mutually independent fire and smoke, the two relations will definitely be determined, and even if they are mutually independent, they are cause and effect, the sign of the effect and the arguments that the cause is not seen, etc., will be too much to become meaningless, because there is such a fault. In the Examination of Relations it says: It exists even without it, one exists without relation. Because it is said so. The third aspect has two types: refuting the relation of benefit, and refuting the relation of not arising without it. The first aspect is that if fire is the benefactor and smoke is the object of benefit, then the relation is truly established on those two. That is not right, because when either the benefactor or the object of benefit exists as a thing, the other is not a thing, therefore the 'that-born' relation between things and non-things is refuted.
