La. First, after showing the general form of the three bases of name, named, and possessor, regarding the views of the two definitions, the views of Lhading Lo, Gyen, Chokyong, and the Brahmins are refuted, and it is argued that the two are a single entity with opposite meanings. And how the valid cognition that possesses that definition cuts off superimposition. Regarding the meaning of definite number, the detailed classification of the object to be signified is explained. Regarding the possessor, two kinds of misconceptions are dispelled. Regarding the meaning of self-cognition and other-cognition, the valid cognition that makes the definition definite for the possessor is explained, and commonly, how it performs refutation and establishment. The ninth chapter explains the valid perception, similar perception, and results of valid cognition mentioned in the chapter on perception in the Sutra and the Determined Commentary, and also incidentally explains the results of valid cognition of inference. Here, the definition of perception in general is first explained, and then the classifications are explained separately, which seems to be consistent with the order of the Determined Commentary, and will be explained below. In this section on yogic perception, it seems that the reasoning of the valid person mentioned in the chapter on the establishment of valid cognition will be combined and explained as the proof of yogic perception, which is a wonderful explanation. The tenth chapter explains the forms of correct and similar reasons mentioned in the Sutra, the Determined Commentary, the Nyaya Bindu, and the Hetu Bindu, and the forms of what is to be established mentioned in the chapter on others and the Gate of Reasoning. The eleventh chapter explains the detailed classification of persons in the context of debate mentioned in the Treatise on Debate, the twenty-two refutations, the fourteen flaws mentioned in the Sutra, and the ten flaws mentioned in the Treatise on Reasoning, and the detailed classification of establishment and refutation mentioned in the chapter on others in all three treatises. The twenty-four flaws are the last two of the twenty-two refutations, and such a definite number of refutations is the view of the Samkhya school of outsiders, so it is refuted, and as mentioned in the Treatise on Debate, it is argued that the four numbers divided from two are definite. Gathering all the meanings of the treatises of Dignaga and Dharmakirti together and explaining them in this way is an explanation of their intentions that no one else has.

Therefore, following this system should be considered fortunate. Explanation of the Distinguished System Third, explaining the distinguished system, there are two parts: establishing knowable objects in general and explaining the nature of valid cognition as the means of knowing. The first part has three aspects: the object of knowledge, the consciousness that cognizes, and the way that consciousness realizes the object. The first part has two aspects: definition and classification. The first is: the definition of an object is that which is cognized by consciousness. In this regard, some say that the hair-like appearance that appears to a deluded sense consciousness is an object because it is cognized by consciousness, that is, because it is cognized by a deluded sense consciousness. If you assert it as fundamental, then it follows that the object is not determined as either a self-characteristic or a general characteristic. Therefore, they say that what is cognized by a consciousness with a non-erroneous mode of apprehension is the definition of an object. To this, others say: That hair-like appearance is an object, but it does not have to be either a self-characteristic or a general characteristic, just as consciousness does not necessarily have to be valid cognition. Similarly, an object does not necessarily have to be measurable. This statement is unreasonable because the hair-like appearance that appears to a deluded sense consciousness is not an object, because it is not an object in terms of its own nature, nor is it established as an object by a consciousness of exclusion of others. Otherwise, the universal characteristic of things and non-affirming negation would be the same in terms of whether or not they are objects, because non-affirming negation is also an object. If you accept this, it would contradict the statement, "Because of grasping at knowable objects, there will be no faults in regard to non-existent things." The previous statement is also unreasonable because the hair-like appearance is an object because it is an object of a deluded sense consciousness. The universal characteristic of sound being impermanent is cognized by a consciousness with a non-erroneous mode of apprehension because it is an object. You cannot accept this because if it is a consciousness that takes appearance as an object, then it is necessarily a deluded consciousness in which appearance and conceptualization are one. Furthermore, sound being permanent is an object because it is cognized by consciousness, that is, because it is cognized by the conceptual thought that grasps sound as permanent. Regarding these, one should also remember what was said before, eliminating the previous faults. Second, the classification has three parts: refuting other systems, establishing one's own system, and dispelling disputes. The first part has two parts: stating the former position and refuting it. The first is: In the Compendium on Valid Cognition, it says: Both valid cognitions are of things, having different appearances of objects, are the same.
