The counter-establishment of the pervasive established in opposition to its own nature, and again, this dharma, should not be that, because there is cold fruit that grows hair, such as the counter-argument established with the fruit that contradicts the pervasive, deducing the self-establishment of the pervasive established in opposition to the cause, and again, this dharma, should not be that, because there is the actual cause of cold touch, such as the counter-argument established with the cause that contradicts the pervasive, deducing the self-establishment of the pervasive established in opposition to the result, and so on. In terms of mutual contradiction, one is, sound, dharma, not made, because it is permanent and real, such as the counter-argument established with the pervasive that contradicts, deducing the self-establishment established in opposition to the pervasive. Two, the pervasive not appearing and the nature mutually reversing, the place with meat, dharma, no meat, because there is no tree, such as the counter-argument of the pervasive not appearing, deducing the reason of nature, in the rocky cave without trees, dharma, there are trees, because there is meat, such as the counter-argument of nature, deducing the self-establishment of the pervasive not appearing. These examples are also established as the subject of refutation for the sake of convenient terminology, but the faultless refutation is not, because the subject of refutation is actually stated. For example, in the example of the reason for self-establishment, sound, dharma, impermanent, because it is made, such as grasping. If asked what is the faultless refutation, at first, one generality is clear because it is related to many appearances and meanings, it should be many, and so on, and in some places, because there is no fire, there should be no smoke, such as establishing the subject of refutation, if asked why, then establish the refutation like this, whoever is clear and related to many appearances and meanings, is pervaded by many, such as the elm trees in different containers, one generality is also clear and related to many appearances and meanings, such as the harmonious combination, whoever is impossible to be many, is pervaded by not being related to many, such as the rabbit's horn, the generality that has been promised to be related to many is also impossible to be many, such as the non-harmonious combination, and whoever has no fire, is pervaded by having no smoke, such as water vapor, in some places it has also been promised that there is no fire, such as the harmonious combination, whoever has smoke

It pervades with fire, like a forest. For some mountains that admit the absence of fire, it is stated that there is smoke, which is an incompatible property. If one thinks that this is no different from the incompatible nature of the Svātantrika argument, the difference is very great. Because here, the mountain with smoke but without fire, which is admitted by the opponent, is taken as the subject of the proposition, while in the case of the Svātantrika argument, the opponent is uncertain whether there is fire or not, and only the mountain with smoke is taken as the subject of the proposition. Third, refuting the argument: If only what is admitted by others can be taken as a reason, then it is the same for Svātantrika; if not, then it is not possible for Prasangika either. For Svātantrika, only what is admitted by others cannot be taken as a reason, because if the reason of the Svātantrika argument is not established by the opponent himself, it is impossible to establish what is to be proven. For Prasangika, only what is admitted by others can be taken as a reason, because it is only to eliminate wrong ideas by stating the contradiction that on one basis, the pervader does not exist, but the pervaded object exists. For example, the Vaiseṣikas believe that the general is an indivisible part, but it is related to many clear things and meanings; the whole is an indivisible thing, but it is related to many parts and meanings; the Sāṃkhyas believe that sound is made, but it is permanent; some people believe that there is smoke in some places, but there is no fire. For these situations, it is like eliminating wrong ideas by stating contradictions. Second, the way of answering is divided into refutation and establishment. First: Some people say that the answer to Prasangika must be "pervasion not established", "reason not established", and "as desired", which is unreasonable. If both "pervasion contradictory" and "uncertain" can be solved with one answer of "pervasion not established", then it is too much, because there is such a commitment. If admitted, then it is too much to solve both "pervasion not established" and "reason not established" with one answer of "not established". If you say that even though these two are the same in being not established, it is not convenient to argue if you do not distinguish between "pervasion not established" and "reason not established" because you cannot recognize them, then it is the same for the former. Also, if you answer "pervasion not established" to "pervasion contradictory", it will become a mistake. For example, sound is the subject of the proposition, it is permanent, because it is made. For this situation, answering "pervasion not established"
