Regarding showing the internal contradiction of a commitment to denying what has been committed to, for example: Quality, is the subject to be proven, you become a substance, because the generality of the existence of substance also applies to you, including it. The pervasion is accepted. If it is not established, it contradicts the denial of the generality of parts. Substance, is the subject to be proven, you are not a substance, because the generality of the existence of quality also applies to you, including it. The sign pervasion is the same as before. Similarly, Gyalwang Rinpoche said, "Whatever possesses existence is not a substance, like a quality. An entity that is manifestly considered a substance also possesses existence." Because by identifying the contradictory pervasion, the nature of the subject to be proven is eliminated, it is the fault of being one-sided. Fourth, regarding the way in which the nature and difference of both the dharma and the subject of the dharma are harmed. Some consider the object of harm, the seemingly false commitment, to be like vowing, "All the words of permanence that I have spoken are false," where the words I have spoken are the nature of the subject of the dharma, permanence is the difference of the subject of the dharma, meaningfulness is the nature of the dharma, and falsity is the difference of the dharma. Regarding this, the way of harming is that one actually says that all words are false, and this itself contradicts the tacit admission of having a true meaning by speaking in pure words, and it also harms "what I have said." Permanence harms meaningfulness, and meaningfulness harms permanence. That is, eliminating the nature of the subject of the dharma, i.e., the declarant, you did not say the words "all words are false," because all the false words you have spoken have a true meaning, which eliminates "what I have said." The way to eliminate the difference of the subject of the dharma is that the word depends on the cause of the desire to express, so its arising is meaningless, because it is permanent. The way to eliminate the nature of the dharma is that the word, is the subject to be proven, becomes something without expressive meaning, because it is permanent. The way to eliminate the difference of the dharma is that the word, is the subject to be proven, also does not show falsity, because it is permanent. Regarding this, what is desired is that one does not enter into the meaning of the words of the auto-commentary of the Sutra, i.e., "If one eliminates by the nature of the word, then one eliminates the difference of both," and it is also inconsistent with the view of one's own system that permanence eliminates meaningfulness and meaningfulness eliminates permanence, because both of the latter eliminate meaningfulness by permanence.

For that reason. Also, some wise people say that it is impossible for speech to enter the realm, because true speech is impossible. This eliminates the self-nature of the subject (referring to "speech"). Saying that speech is false speech itself is also unreasonable, because the word that says this also has the meaning of falsehood, which eliminates the self-nature of the dharma. Saying that the author of the speech that wants to express is meaningless, because speech is permanent, this eliminates the difference of the subject. Saying that showing the untruth of what is said is unreasonable, because speech is permanent, this eliminates the difference of the dharma. The first two of what was said are in accordance with the auto-commentary of the Sutra, which says: If speech and falsehood are completely eliminated, then the self-nature of both is eliminated. The latter two have already been refuted before. The self-view is that what I say is the difference of the subject, and generally showing the meaning of what is said is the difference of the dharma, and these two should be eliminated. The method of elimination is what is said in the auto-commentary of the Sutra: If the falsehood of the self-nature of speech is used to eliminate, then it should be like this: Such speech is the subject, and my own words are not completely pure, because they have the meaning of falsehood. Also, this is the subject, and it does not show the meaning of what is said, because it has the meaning of falsehood. Secondly, for what seems to be able to establish, analyze the faults and merits from the real and incidental aspects, divided into two types. The first type is divided into: definition and classification. In the first type, some people think that what should be established as a sign is what should be inferred from a similar sign, which is unreasonable, because in the example of the established cause, the unestablished sign is also similar to what should be established. Otherwise, sound is impermanent is the subject, and it should be what is interpreted, because it is that definition. If the latter sign is not established, then what is the reason why sound permanence should be inferred from a similar sign? Is it because there is a sophistical reason about that? If you say so, then it is the same for the former. The self-view is that what should be established as a sign is what cannot be established by a true sign. The second type is divided into: what has been established by the opponent, what is being established as the cause, what is not the current thing to be established, what the opponent does not want to be established because of fear, and what has entered the exclusion of प्रमाण (pramāṇa, 量), there are five types in total.
