And there are two valid reasons for distinguishing, four are in order: Space that has become non-existent, dharma, is permanent, because it is unconditioned. Impermanence on the aggregates, dharma, is selfless, because it is made. Sound, dharma, is impermanent, because it is made. The aggregates of close grasping, dharma, are not other than impermanence, because they are made, it is thought like this, if it is reasonable to divide the contradictory sign into four categories such as negating the nature of the subject, then there can also be such a distinction for the correct reason, but the four distinctions of the contradictory sign have been prevented in the "Treasury of Reasoning", so this is not reasonable. Then in the "Commentary on Valid Cognition", it says about the case of contradictory signs: Because it sometimes acts from the aspect of dharma, sometimes from the aspect of the subject, and sometimes from the aspect of its difference, it can distinguish. Relying on this, the "Treasury of Reasoning" says: Directly or indirectly, the power of the intention to express the contradiction of dharma and subject. If this distinction is applied to the correct reason, some are correct reasons that are expressed directly, some become correct reasons through the power of expression, some become correct reasons through expressing dharma, and some become correct reasons through expressing the subject, these four are in order: Sound, dharma, is impermanent, because it is made. A vase, dharma, does not produce all its own results simultaneously, because it produces its own results depending on conditions. Sound, dharma, is not other than impermanence, because it is made. Impermanent sound, dharma, exists, because it is made, like this. Likewise, the "Commentary on Valid Cognition" says: If the reason is not different from the contradiction, why is it not different? Who can prevent the distinction? Its meaning is stated in the "Treasury of Reasoning": If it is the same for the correct one, it is abandoned because the action is small. Secondly, the seeming reason has two aspects: definition and classification. First, some people set the three aspects as the definition of the correct reason, and then say that what is not the three aspects is the definition of the seeming reason, then the correct reason and the seeming reason become contradictory, because the two of being the three aspects and not being the three aspects are contradictory. If you admit, correct reason, dharma, you are seeming

It necessarily follows that appearance and contradiction are not contradictory, because what are you establishing? Because the pseudo-reason is also to be established. If it is said that the impermanent dharma, it necessarily follows that you are not contradictory to permanence, because what are you establishing? Because you are establishing permanence. Answer: The external branch is not established, because that which is contrary to impermanence is labeled as permanent. If it is said that, that dharma, it necessarily follows that a negative word must be added to the end of your name, because you are a negation. Answer: The non-pot's non-pot dharma, it necessarily follows that an establishing word must be added to the end of your true name, because you are an establishment. The self-view is that the reason does not possess the three characteristics, as it is said in the Jewel of Reasoning: "Whatever sign does not possess the three characteristics." Secondly, the basis of division, the entity of division, and the meaning of the divisions, three in total. The first is, merely a pseudo-reason. Secondly, nowadays some Tibetans divide the pseudo-reasons of effect, self, and non-apprehension into three, and give examples in order: A place with smoke, it necessarily follows that there is fire of grass and wood, because there is smoke. Incidentally, the eastern land with barley grains, separated from the contributing factors such as water and fertilizer, it necessarily follows that the fruit will definitely produce sprouts, because it is a land with barley grains. The same as a ripe fruit and a young fruit contained in one, that dharma, the same as a ripe fruit and a young fruit contained in one, in order to establish the ripeness of the remaining fruits, it is certain that it does not exist in the dissimilar class, because it is there, because the opponent does not apprehend it, etc., it is unreasonable to say so, because in order to establish that the pillar is a pot, there are countless pseudo-reasons that are not included in those three, such as establishing wool as the reason. If it is thought that because the correct reason has three types of effect, self, and non-apprehension, therefore for the pseudo-reason, it is necessary to divide the pseudo-reason into three types by those three. Then, the evil destinies should also be divided into three types: gods, demigods, and humans, because the happy destinies can be divided into these three types. Therefore, although the father and son Dignāga and Dharmakīrti divided the correct perception into four types such as sense perception, they did not make divisions such as sense perception for the pseudo-perception, but established it as conscious perception that is pseudo, and unconscious perception that is pseudo.
