Having understood that state, it can be expressed by the sound of the moon with a rabbit, and there is a reliable basis for it. There is no fault in changing the state of affairs merely through convention or intention, because the fact that it can be expressed by the sound of the moon with a rabbit cannot be changed into something that cannot be expressed through convention or intention. Secondly, from the three aspects of definition, example, and the method of determining the three modes, the first is: in order to prove the main content to be proven, the fame arising from sound, it is the nature reason that possesses the three modes. Secondly, some divide it into two types: the concealing characteristic and the proving characteristic. The first is: "The one with a mountain, as the subject, cannot be directly expressed by the sound of the moon, because it exists in the realm of conceptualization." Saying this is unreasonable, because if it is a characteristic of fame, then it is universally a nature reason, which is mentioned in all root texts and commentaries, and the fact that the one with a mountain cannot be directly expressed by the sound of the moon is not a fame arising from sound. In one's own system, distinguishing between the real and imputed fame, and identifying the characteristic of fame, are divided into two types. The first is: if fame is a definition, then it must be an expressive sound, and if so, then all things must be able to be expressed by it. The fact that all things can be expressed by an expressive sound is the imputed fame, because for the object of fame, it is imputed with the name of fame. For example, just as for the harm caused by the object of both direct perception and inference, it is imputed as the harm caused by both direct perception and inference. Likewise, it is said in the scriptures: "The dharma arising from language can be expressed by the sound of fame, and the objects to be measured by direct perception, etc., are also expressed by imputing the measuring sound." This is what is said. For this imputed fame, it is said in the scriptures as the fame arising from sound. Secondly, it is divided into two types: proving that the object is feasible, and proving that the possessor of the object is feasible. The first is: "The one with a mountain, as the subject, can be expressed by the sound called 'moon,' because it exists in the realm of conceptualization." The second is: "The sound called 'moon,' as the subject, can be applied to all things, because it is a sound that applies according to one's own intention." Thirdly, the pervasiveness is established by the various reasonings that prevent the establishment of a nature relationship between sound and object. Fourth, the method of argumentation.
