Some say that the earth is established because the establishment of both is easy and they are the same entity. However, the former assertion is unreasonable because, for a credible sign, the three reasons of result, nature, and non-apprehension have not been explained in any treatise. The second is divided into two: the manner in which it is shown in the treatise, and the determination of its meaning. The first is: in general, the reasons of result and nature do not completely cover the reasons of the power of things, but in the first chapter, the three reasons of result, nature, and non-apprehension, which are included by the power of things, have been shown, because the teacher himself said that before establishing validity, it is necessary to determine the subsequent inference of the power of things in order to distinguish between things and non-things. The two, credible and fame, among the signs of result and nature, are shown in the chapter for the benefit of others, because it is said there that if the tenet for the benefit of others is correct, there must be one that is not excluded by all four valid cognitions, considering that the manner of harm in direct perception and subsequent inference of the power of things has been explained in detail in the chapters on direct perception and self-interest, so it is not explained here, but the manner of harm by credible and fame is explained very extensively at this time, in short, it is said: By the classification of subsequent inference, harm is explained in four ways. After saying that, it is explained in detail: Direct perception and subsequent inference do not have harm. Therefore, the embellisher and his followers say that the two reasons of credible and fame are the images of the reasons of result and nature, which also fits this point, because they are said to be the images of the two reasons of the power of things said in the first chapter, not the images of the two reasons of result and nature in general. Therefore, if the credible sign is correct, then the result sign must also be correct, as it is said in the Commentary on Valid Cognition: To that, the promise is the result sign. And in the Determination of Valid Cognition it is said: Wanting to utter words through seeing the benefit of oneself or others as it is, is credible, because if there is no such thing, words will not be uttered, so it is its result. Secondly, purifying the meaning through three things: definition, example, and debate, is divided into three. The first is: any result sign that is complete in three ways, used to prove the extremely hidden thing that one wants to prove, and becomes a scriptural authority.

It is considered that: Regarding the Dharma of the "Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita," it is the valid means of understanding one's own teachings, and it existed before, because it is a statement purified by the three examinations. Regarding the third point, some say that for manifest things, there is no contradiction by direct perception and it is established; for hidden things, there is no contradiction by the force of inference and it is established; for extremely hidden things, there is no statement that contradicts one's own words directly or indirectly, and there is no contradiction between prior and subsequent commitments, and this is the meaning of a statement purified by the three examinations. This statement is unreasonable, because if it is a statement purified by the three examinations, then it would necessarily include all measurable things as objects of expression. Some say that if manifest things are shown, then there is no contradiction by direct perception, etc., which is also unreasonable, because the statement that sound is permanent would also become a statement purified by the three examinations. Therefore, it shows any one of the three measurable things, and when showing it, there is no harm from the valid means at the time, and there is no contradiction between one's own words directly or indirectly, and there is no contradiction between prior and subsequent commitments, such a statement is the meaning of being purified by the three examinations. Third, explaining the sign of fame, there are two types: refuting the view that there is no sign of fame, and establishing the view that there is. The first is: Some people think that there is no real sign of fame, because there are two kinds of harm, teaching and reasoning, to the idea that it exists. The harm of teaching is: the followers with decorations mentioned earlier, and Kashmir Jnanasri, who said that the sign of trusting the result and the sign of the nature of fame are only descriptions of their images. Reasoning also has harm, if the object is not a valid means, then it is inevitable that the object cannot be understood in accordance with the reality of things, and the reality of things must be able to be changed by name or intention. If it is said that the inference of fame is a valid means, then the fault of teaching harm is not there, because it has been said before, and the fault of reasoning harm is also not there, does the meaning of whether the reality of things is consistent or not lie in whether it is established or not? Or does it lie in whether there is a backing valid means? If it is the former, then the classification of name and referent, same and different, contradictory and related, etc., must also be inconsistent with the reality of things, because it is not established in meaning. If it is the latter, then the inference of fame is also consistent with the reality of things.
