Because it is something to be done in between. If the second point is not established, then the suchness of the emptiness of the apprehended and the apprehender cannot be determined. The Yogacara school's view that the ability to function ultimately is the characteristic of ultimate truth is also refuted by the same reasoning. The Yogacara school's view that only momentary, partless consciousness is ultimately true is also unreasonable, because if it were so, it would not be pervasive that everything is ultimately true, and everything that is ultimately true would not be pervasive that it is so. If the first point is not established, then the consciousness included by other-power cannot be determined, and if the second point is not established, then the suchness of the emptiness of the apprehended and the apprehender cannot be determined. If it is said that what is ultimately able to function, if it is considered that this is explaining the nature of the two truths that are commonly accepted by both Sutra and Mind, this is also unreasonable, because you yourselves also accept the school said by Yamaari. If it is considered that the Yogacara school that follows reason does not acknowledge that the suchness of the emptiness of the apprehended and the apprehender is ultimately true, this is also unreasonable, because in this treatise it says: "Therefore, whatever is empty of two, that is its suchness." If it is said that this is only explaining the reality of things, but not explaining ultimate truth, then it is very unreasonable, because in the view of any of the four logicians of the schools, if the ultimate reality of things is an established dharma, it must be ultimate truth. According to their school, if it is ultimately true, then the fault of the number of things to be measured being uncertain between self-character and general-character is also not present, because according to their school, the suchness of the emptiness of two is self-character. The noble Nagarjuna, when speaking of suchness from the perspective of the Yogacara school, said: "The true substance is permanent." Therefore, whatever is substance, thing, and self-character, is pervaded by the conditioned and impermanent, this is the school of the Sutrantikas, not the school of the Vaibhashikas and Yogacarins, this is the key to the schools. If it is considered that the suchness of the emptiness of the apprehended and the apprehender, is the subject, should be imputation, because it is a general-character, then this is the same for you, because it is the dharma, should be so, because of that reason, whatever is to be measured is not a self-character. If the first point is not established, then it should be a thing to be measured, the apprehended and the apprehender two

Because non-dualistic knowledge, self-awareness, and self-illumination are objects to be measured. I do not have this fault because the Mind-Only school does not accept Suchness as a general characteristic. Furthermore, some say that the treatise "What is the ultimate entity that can perform a function?" inappropriately explains the commonality of both Sutra and Mind-Only schools, and the establishment of the two truths in the Mind-Only school. Because in the Mind-Only school, if it is the ultimate truth, it contradicts the ability to perform a function. If this treatise is applied to the tenets of both Sutra and Mind-Only schools, then it explains the basis of what exists ultimately and what exists conventionally, but it does not explain the characteristics of the two truths. Because in the Mind-Only school, the ability to perform a function ultimately cannot be the basis for the ultimate truth. So, what is the establishment of these two in the Mind-Only school? From the perspective of characteristics and distinctions, firstly, the characteristic of the ultimate truth is established as being able to withstand examination by the reasoning that ultimately cuts through, and the reasoning consciousness that relies on it to make the ultimate cut becomes a valid cognition. The characteristic of the conventional truth is whatever knowable object is found by the valid cognition of terminology, and the valid cognition of terminology does not become a valid cognition of terminology in relation to you. In terms of distinctions, all knowable things are contained within the three characteristics: the part where the apprehended, the apprehender, and consciousness appear as distinct, and the part where the made and the impermanent appear as distinct are the completely imputed; the erroneous consciousness that appears as dualistic is the other-powered; and the unchanging, perfectly established, and non-inverted perfectly established are the perfectly established. The first is the Suchness of emptiness of the apprehended and the apprehender, and the second is the meditative wisdom of the noble ones that is free from dualistic appearance. The completely imputed, the other-powered, and the non-inverted perfectly established are the conventional truth; the unchanging, perfectly established, the Suchness of emptiness of the apprehended and the apprehender, that is the extremely pure object, is the ultimate truth, is the reality of the object, so they think. This is unreasonable because the Mind-Only school is not a realist, because it does not accept that the basis of things and true establishment are the same. The assertion is correct. The characteristics and distinctions are also contradictory: the meditative wisdom of the noble ones' continuum that is free from dualistic appearance should be the ultimate truth because it possesses that characteristic.
