Therefore, it is considered that what enables the wisdom of clinging to arise is the nature of the ultimate truth. For example, the sense-sphere of form, etc. As stated in the Abhidharmakośa, "What is destroyed and excluded by wisdom, wisdom does not apprehend that. Like water in a pot, it exists conventionally, but not so ultimately." Therefore, it is said. The Sautrāntikas consider that the dharma that can function and the dharma that cannot function in the ultimate sense are the natures of these two. As it is said, "What can function ultimately..." The Cittamatrins consider that what is directly aimed at and can increase all afflictions is the nature of the conventional truth, and what is directly aimed at and pervades the increase of purification is considered the nature of the ultimate truth. As stated in the Compendium of Topics, "The object that increases all afflictions when aimed at is what exists conventionally," and "The object that increases purification when aimed at is what exists ultimately." Therefore, it is said. The Madhyamikas consider that the object apprehended by the mode of apprehension of correct view is the nature of the ultimate truth. For example, the object apprehended by the mode of apprehension of meditative equipoise in the continuum of an Arya. The object apprehended by the mode of apprehension of false view is the nature of the conventional truth. For example, the object of reality of the mind of an ordinary being. As stated in the Entering the Middle Way, "By seeing all things as real and false, one obtains the nature and self of all things. What is seen by the real view is said to be the conventional truth by the false view." Therefore, it is said. The second view is: Some scholars believe that although the bases of the two truths differ in both the Sutra and Mind schools, it is difficult to distinguish them in terms of nature. Therefore, the object of reality of conceptual thought that appears like an external object is considered to be conventional because it is an imputation and obscures the seeing of the true state of affairs. And the single nature that does not impute and can produce results from the object itself is not mistaken for the same object, so it is the ultimate truth. For this, from the perspective of imputing without establishing the real situation, it is an imputed existence; from the perspective of being established by enduring rational analysis, it is a real existence. For this, what commonly follows in many appearances is the general characteristic, and what appears without mixing the unique self-nature is the self-characteristic.

is what is desired. Therefore, ultimately, that which can function is the characteristic of the ultimate truth, and that which cannot function ultimately is the characteristic of the conventional truth. Those who say that "what can function ultimately" does not show the distinction between the two truths are talking nonsense. Because in the previous commentary it says: Yama Ris, incidentally shows the distinction between the two truths of the inferior vehicle. It is in accordance with the Abhidharmakosha which says, "What is destroyed and different by wisdom," etc. In order to establish the words of the Sugata, there are no others besides the four schools of tenets. Gross, permanent, and general characteristics are all conventional truths, and objects that are partless particles of meaning are ultimate truths, which is the view of the great bodhisattvas with the Dharma eye who speak of Sutra and Mind Only. Some divide the perfectly established into immutable perfectly established and non-inverted perfectly established, and say that the immutable perfectly established, the suchness that is empty of both grasper and grasped, is the ultimate truth. If this is mixed with other Mind Only treatises, it can be established, but there is no need to mix them. Here, when blue is seen, seeing the three states of arising, abiding, and ceasing of blue, these are the objects of eye consciousness, the source of form, but in other schools, it is the object of mind consciousness, the source of Dharma, which is similar. Therefore, great scholars consider Mind Only to be of two types: Mind Only that follows reasoning and Mind Only that follows scripture. In the first view, if it is the ultimate truth, then it must be ultimately capable of functioning. Otherwise, it would be fallacious to say that the object to be measured is not fixed in number as either self or general, and if it is a self-characteristic, it would be fallacious to say that it is not pervasive with the ability to function. That is what they think. Without fabrication, the single nature that produces its own result from the object itself is considered the ultimate truth in both the Sutra and Mind Only schools, which is unreasonable. Because in the Mind Only view, if that is the case, then it is not pervasive with the ultimate truth, and if it is the ultimate truth, then it is not pervasive with that. If the former is not established, then the knowledge obscuration, the conceptual thought Dharma, which is merely the appearance of the two, grasper and grasped, should be so, because it is knowledge. It cannot be asserted, because it is abandoned through the path of meditation.
