Some say: The eye faculty, as a phenomenon, is hidden from the omniscient wisdom, because it is hidden in all aspects. That knowledge is manifest to a person without manifest knowledge, because it is manifest in all aspects. It is unreasonable to state such a refutation, because the eye faculty being hidden in all aspects is with regard to retrospection; and the knowledge being manifest in all aspects is with regard to one's own continuum. Third, regarding classification: Stating the view that manifest and hidden are contradictory; stating the view that these two are not contradictory; and identifying one's own view, there are three. The first is: Some people think that these two are contradictory, because what is manifest to something is not hidden at that time; and what is hidden to something is not manifest at that time. If it is said that these two are not contradictory, because for all people, there is nothing that is a manifest phenomenon, nor is there anything that is a hidden phenomenon; what is manifest to some people is hidden to others, then, valid cognition and non-valid cognition are not contradictory. Because for all objects, there is no such thing as being valid cognition and non-valid cognition; when something becomes valid cognition for some objects, it becomes non-valid cognition for some objects. For example, the conceptual thought that grasps sound as permanent is self-cognizing perception for its own nature, but it is a reversed consciousness for the object; the subsequent inference that realizes sound as impermanent is a reversed consciousness for its appearing object, but it is valid cognition for its engaging object. However, just as valid cognition and non-valid cognition are separately determined, these two are also separately determined, because it is only in relation to one cognizer that these two are considered different, and this is also in relation to the present state, not in relation to other times, because for one person, what was previously manifest will later become hidden. The second is: Some people say that these two are not contradictory, because being contradictory in relation to one basis does not constitute a reason for being contradictory, because in relation to different bases, these two have a common basis. If the first is not established, then both cause and effect are contradictory, because if it is the effect of fire, it must not be the cause of fire. Second

If the establishment is not achieved, it is because blue is manifest to the direct perception of the sense consciousness grasping blue, and hidden to the conceptual thought grasping blue. Also, these two are not contradictory, because the nature of being manifest and hidden also depends on the knower and the present state. If it is not like that, then when the difference in the state of the observer and the appearing objects changes, the manifest and the hidden will also change, so the nature will be confused. Shakya Blo thinks this seems confused, because the manifest can also become hidden, and the hidden can also become another manifest. The third saying is that these two are contradictory, if it is hidden relative to one mind, then it cannot pervade hiddenness, if it is manifest relative to one mind, then it cannot pervade manifestness, otherwise, if the manifest and the hidden are one, then there will be the fault of having to be one. The views of the two commentaries also seem to be like this, because these two, the manifest and the hidden, are established in relation to two such knowledges in the continuum of one knower, because in the continuum of one knower, there is simultaneously the inference of knowing that there is fire, and the direct perception of seeing the fire in front, at this time, the fire is hidden to that person, and for that person, the fire in front is manifest. The view of the commentary is definitely not to establish the manifest and the hidden in relation to one knowledge, if so, there will be the fault that neither the manifest nor the hidden can be established. Generally speaking, the views of each school. Fourth, distinguishing from the perspective of essence, it is divided into two types: generally explaining the views of each school on the two truths, and separately explaining the views of Sutra and Mind only. First, for the Vaibhashika, if it is destroyed or analyzed with the mind, the consciousness of grasping there does not arise, that is the nature of conventional truth, for example, when it is destroyed, the consciousness of grasping there does not arise, such as a vase, when the eight subtle substances are separated with the mind, the consciousness of grasping there does not arise, such as the famous water in the world. Destroying or analyzing with the mind
