Such is the establishment, like the establishment of being dependent on that, and the actual statement of dependence, with the difference of causes establishing the difference between the two. Like the establishment of the inseparable nature of what arises in dependence on other dharmas, distinguished by their differences. Not depending on differences is like establishing sound as impermanent, with the existent as the reason. Thus it is said. Secondly, dividing from the perspective of what is to be established, there are two: the establishment of meaning and the establishment of terminology. The former is like saying: Sound, the subject, is impermanent, because it is made. The latter is like saying: Sound, the subject, is impermanent, because it is not momentary. If asked: Then, where do the heretics' reasons, which they consider as other reasons, such as establishing the possibility of a result arising from the reason of a complete collection of causes, and establishing conditioned smoke from the reason of the unimpeded power of the cause of smoke, belong? Answer: They belong to the category of valid reasons of nature. If asked: The latter is not valid, because the reason and the subject are different entities. Answer: There is no fault, although it is established as such in terms of establishment, in terms of function, the arising of smoke has become the reason, therefore it is of the same nature as conditioned smoke. If asked: Then, it contradicts what was said above that there is no valid reason to prevent cold touch by establishing the substantial cause of hot touch as the reason. Answer: It does not contradict, because at that time, if the arising of hot touch does not become the reason, then the pervasion cannot be determined. If it becomes the reason, then establishing hot touch as the reason is included in the logic of preventing cold touch, so there is no point in separating them. Thirdly, regarding the classification, there are two: determining the three aspects and the necessity of the teaching. The former has already been explained in the context of establishing relationships. The latter, among the four seals of dharma, is for the purpose of realizing that all conditioned phenomena are impermanent. Its necessity is to obtain temporary higher rebirth and ultimate definite goodness. In general, realizing that conditioned phenomena are impermanent, thereby realizing that this particular life is impermanent, and realizing that this life is impermanent, in order to accomplish the happiness of this life, one does not accumulate non-virtue, but accumulates virtue. Based on this, one obtains higher rebirth in the future. Realizing that conditioned phenomena are impermanent, thereby realizing that all dharmas are without self, and realizing this, one is certain

In order to attain liberation from appearances, because, liberation comes through the view of emptiness, and the remaining meditation is for that purpose. Because it is said so. Third, the definition, classification, and establishment of the effect sign, consisting of three parts. First, some say, regarding it, the correct sign, whatever is the actual object to be proven regarding it, and is also the basis for your cause to exist together; and whatever is merely spoken of as the object to be proven regarding it, must be your cause; and the three modes of proof regarding it, which have the root of arising from that relationship. First, for example, if it is stated, "The lump of brown sugar inside, is the subject, it has the shape of sugar existing now, because it has the taste of sugar existing now," then, that is the subject, and the latter part is the thesis, because that is the referent. If it is accepted, then, the shape of sugar existing now is the cause of the taste of sugar existing now. Second, for example, if it is stated, "The mountain with smoke, is the subject, there is fire, because there is smoke," then, smoke is the subject, and the latter part is the thesis, because that is the referent. If it is accepted, then, there is fire, is the subject, then, that is the thesis, because that is the referent. Third, for example, if it is stated, "Sound, which has the root of arising from that relationship, is the subject, impermanent, because it is made," then, being made is the subject, and the referent regarding it is the thesis, because that is the definition, it is also seen to be said. The self-system is, the correct sign of proof, whatever establishes the desired object to be proven on the subject of debate, establishing a different entity from itself. Second, the classification has five types: the effect sign that establishes the cause entity, the effect sign that follows the cause quality, the effect sign that establishes the prior cause, the effect sign that establishes the cause difference, and the effect sign that establishes the mere existence of the cause. First is, for example, "The mountain with smoke, is the subject, there is fire, because there is smoke," because fire is the main cause of smoke. This seems to be the intention of what is said, "How many natures are there for the cause?" In the auto-commentary of Rigter it is said: "This is called the effect sign that establishes the opposite of the cause." Its meaning is, from the sign of smoke, it does not establish the difference of fire on the mountain with smoke, such as grass and wood fire, etc., but it establishes only the fire that is reversed from non-fire, then, the knowable follows, becoming the sign of the nature of the common, it is said.
