If it is said that this will lead to confusion of concepts, because the word "side" can refer to all three, then there is no problem. Because when determining the definition of the subject, "side" refers to the dharma to be understood; when determining pervasion, "side" refers to the dharma to be established; when determining the thing to be established, "side" refers to the collective meaning. Therefore, depending on the specific situation, "side" can be understood as the nature of the dharma to be understood, just like the usage of the word "Sendhava". If it is said that determining the definition of the subject refers to the definition of the three aspects and the necessary connection between the probans and the probandum (subject), and not to the first aspect of the reason, because there is no direct relationship with the first aspect. Then, when determining pervasion, the word "side" should also refer to the dharma to be understood, because this is also determining the definition of the subject. The absence of a direct relationship cannot be established, because if the first aspect of the reason is established, then the reason is established; if the first aspect is not established, then the reason is not established, which is approached through common knowledge and also approached according to the specific situation. Third, the difference between real names and imputed names, the consideration of real dharmas and imputed dharmas, is divided into two types. The first type has already been explained when analyzing what is said and what can be said. The second type is divided into two types: the consideration of real dharmas in the collective sense and the consideration of imputed dharmas in the individual sense. The first type is that for the collective meaning of dharma and dharmins, words such as "side" are used as real names, because this is recognized from the beginning by all logicians, including outsiders. The second type is divided into three: the reason for imputation, the necessity of imputation, and the harm to the real. First, the use of imputed names depends on reasons and necessities. Reasons are divided into two types: using similarity as a reason and using relationship as a reason. The latter is further divided into two types: using causal relationship as a reason and using collective relationship as a reason. The first type is divided into two types: establishing the name of the cause on the effect, and establishing the name of the effect on the cause. The second type is that although the causal relationship cannot be separated, in order to express it more clearly, the name of the individual is established on the collective, and the name of the collective is established on the individual. The first type is like the word "sense consciousness" and the word "drum sound.

It is like that. (The second example is) like saying "a part of the cloth is burning" and then saying "the cloth is burning." Here, the reason for referring to "dharma" and "dharmin" with the name "part" is: this is giving the name of the whole to the part. For example, it is like saying "a part of the cloth is burning" and then saying "the cloth is burning." The second part includes: the necessity of designating "dharma" as the probandum, the necessity of designating "dharmin" as the probandum, and avoiding equating what has been named with what has not been named. The first aspect is: when determining the pervasion, if one does not say "the reason is the subsequent of the probandum," but says "the reason is the subsequent of the dharma," then the following misconception will arise: the contradictory reason also follows the dharma to be refuted, so is this reason also correct? In order to eliminate this misconception, and in some cases, to facilitate the combination of sentences, it is said this way. The second aspect is: when determining the first way of the sign, it is necessary to designate the "dharmin" that one wants to understand with the name "part," and then say that establishing in the "dharma of the part" is the first way of the sign. Because in this case, one can only say "establishing in the dharma of the part is the first way of the sign," or "establishing in the dharma of the dharmin is the first way of the sign," or "establishing in the dharma of the dharmin that one wants to understand is the first way of the sign" among these three statements. And the latter two statements are inappropriate. In order to prove this, it is necessary to prove that the statement "dharma of the dharmin" is inappropriate, and that the statement "dharma of the dharmin that one wants to understand" is inappropriate. First, for the first question, it is divided into two aspects: the actual problem and the elimination of disputes. The first is the actual problem: if this is the case, then is establishing in the dharma of the dharmin of the similar example also the first way of the sign? If this idea arises, then can the sign taken by eye consciousness establish the first way of the sign that sound is impermanent? If this idea arises, then is that "that" sign correct? In order to eliminate this idea, one does not say "dharma of the dharmin," but says "dharma of the part." The second aspect has three: eliminating the dispute that the part and the dharmin are the same, eliminating the dispute of understanding the meaning through implication, and eliminating the dispute of understanding under the restriction of other situations. The first point is: if one says establishing in the dharma of the dharmin, then the dharmin that one wants to understand, the similar example
