Because it must be the source of form. Therefore, just as the Vikalpavādins (those who assert appearance only) believe that there are no blue, yellow, etc., the Satyavādins (those who assert reality) also believe that there are no blue, yellow, etc. Because the Vikalpavādins establish the sutras that show the existence of sources such as form as provisional, the Satyavādins also believe so. Moreover, the Satyavādins also acknowledge the objective condition of appearance and the objective condition of power mentioned in the *Aim Observation*. Fourth, some people, based on "Those whose nature is defiled by ignorance, how do they rely on their own causes and conditions? The aspects of consciousness are not different in the same way, arising and changing like illusions and dizziness," and "The knowable and the knowing have no nature, like the difference in the consciousness of hair, etc.," distinguish between the measures of conventional truth and ultimate truth, determine the way of analyzing truth and falsehood, and the difference between truth and falsehood. First, all the measures in the continuum of ordinary beings are the measures of conventional truth, and the samadhi of the noble ones is the measure of ultimate truth through their own self-awareness. Second, the sense consciousness manifests coarse aspects such as blue and yellow, and also manifests aspects such as color and shape, and it appears that many particles gather together and have the ability to occupy a position, this is (conventional truth). As it is said in the sutra, "Therefore, for objects and consciousness..." etc. Dharmottara says, "If the coarse appearance in sense consciousness is true, then the external object is said to be merely a name. The so-called embodied one, raṃ ziṃ ṅeṃ ba, does not exist." Third, the self-experiencing of all self-aware perceptions is experienced in a way that the dualistic appearance disappears, and there is not even a slight defilement of ignorance. Apart from that, in the continuum of the perceiver, there is no consciousness that is not defiled by ignorance, this is the view of the Vikalpavādins. But the Satyavādins believe that the sense perception of the perceiver is not defiled by ignorance. Therefore, they say that because it is not defiled by ignorance, the object of apprehension that appears is the meaning of reality; because it is defiled by ignorance, the object of appearance that appears is the meaning of falsehood. This is unreasonable, because the view of the Satyavādins is that the consciousness of the perceiver is defiled by ignorance. Because on that, the apprehender, the apprehended, and consciousness appear as distinct, this is because of the defilement of ignorance.

because of that. Because it is said, "Mind and master are indistinguishable," etc. If you think that this treatise is only a false appearance, then when the root consciousness appears in itself, is it endowed by blue or does it arise from the power of habit? If it is the former, it will become the Sūtra school; if it is the latter, then it is contradictory that this treatise is only a false appearance. Therefore, in both the true and false schools, it is believed that from the perspective of looking back, ignorance is mixed in the root consciousness. Because the true school believes that the appearance of the grasper, the grasped, and the consciousness as different is due to the power of ignorance; the false school also believes that the appearance as the grasped aspect is also due to the power of ignorance. As for our own school, the phenomenon of the root consciousness appearing in itself is a way to distinguish between true and false appearances. The true school believes that this can be known, while the false school believes that in any meaning consciousness, it is a false addition to the truth. Just as "How, how to think of meaning," etc. Therefore, "Therefore, in meaning and consciousness, coarse appearance is existent or non-existent." And "Whoever analyzes things, he has no real meaning in this. Why do they not have the nature of one and many?" Third, regarding the explanation of the two aspects of mind and the reasoning for establishing self-awareness, there are two parts: the two aspects of mind and the establishment of self-awareness. The first part has four: in whose presence to establish, what kind of mind to establish, the nature of the two aspects to be established, and the explanation of the reasoning for establishing the two aspects. First, there are two types: negation and establishment. The first is: Some say that the two aspects of acknowledging external objects are established by the previous proponent, the Sūtra school, in front of the opponent, the Vaibhāṣika school; the two aspects of not acknowledging external objects are established by the previous proponent, the Mind-Only school, in front of the opponent, the Sūtra school and below. This statement is unreasonable. Because the Sūtra school is the proponent who has already established the two aspects and does not forget them. The second is: Among the two reasonings for establishing the two aspects of acknowledging external objects and not acknowledging external objects, the first is the previous proponent, the Sūtra school, and the second is the previous proponent, the Mind-Only school, in front of the opponent, the Vaibhāṣika school and below. Because it is necessary to establish it in front of the proponent who believes that the mind has no aspect.
