said. Thus it is said. In conventional truth, like the Sautrāntika school, it is the valid cognition and result of object-consciousness, because the establishment of the object is its very nature. Although it is self-awareness, it is also considered object-consciousness. Thus it is said. In any case, there are two aspects of mind, even according to the view of object-consciousness. It is said that two aspects are expressed in dependence on external objects. Thus it is said, so there are two aspects: object-consciousness and mind-consciousness. According to the Vijñānavāda school, it does not depend on external objects. Therefore, one (consciousness) has two aspects. Thus it is said. One mind is defiled by ignorance, so there are two aspects: object and consciousness. We also follow this view of Dharmakirti. Most Tibetans follow the Sarvāstivāda school, but that is because they do not understand the reasoning of the power of things. Thus it is said. Those who explain differently from the intention of the 'Treasury of Reasoning' must show where the root text and commentary of the 'Treasury of Reasoning' are. So, what is the valid cognition and result in this case? Taking the object to be measured and the valid cognition of the previous two valid cognitions and results of object-consciousness as the basis, in the stage of the result, although nominally it is the cognition of the external blue object, if analyzed, it is the manifest result of knowing one's own nature. Third, Gyalwang Lama said: It is not that we want to hold the appearance of grasping in the manner of Vijñaptimātratā. And, like the gods holding self-consciousness, it is like the aspect of Vijñaptimātratā. Taking Vijñānavāda as an example, in order to dispel the doubt of saying that the knowable is on the inner side. Because Vijñānavāda is presupposed, it is not reasonable to say that it is compatible with Vijñānavāda. It is not so, because in the tenets of the Vijñānavāda school, after negating external objects, there are two types of valid cognition and result: the valid cognition and result of Vijñaptimātratā and the valid cognition and result of nominally acknowledging external objects. The first is that the object of grasping is the object to be measured, and the self-awareness is the valid cognition and result of the fruit. It is precisely that, like that view, if self-awareness is the fruit, then the grasping aspect will become a valid cognition. In order to dispel this doubt and answer it. The other debates and refutations, if one understands the establishment of one's own system, will be naturally liberated, so they are not mentioned here. Fourth, after analyzing the doubts about the valid cognition and result of Vijñānavāda, the valid cognition and result of self-awareness is determined: In short, thus recognizing various aspects

Thus, taking up various cognitions, thus relating to valid cognition and the object to be measured, it is said, "When appearance is the object to be measured, valid cognition and its result, the mode of apprehension is for that reason, these three are not different." And its meaning, in this commentary on valid cognition, "Although mind and self are not different," up to, "Self-awareness is well explained." It is said in between. Therein, with the three verses such as mind and self, although the three, the apprehended, the apprehender, and cognition, are not different in meaning, they are shown to appear as different in the delusion of mind. With one verse such as the apprehended, the apprehender, and cognition, it is shown that relying on that appearance, the establishment of the three, valid cognition, result, and object to be measured, is made. If it is not so, with the three verses such as that, among the three, the apprehended, the apprehender, and cognition, the reason for establishing the non-existence of truth in the apprehended aspect is shown. Therefore, previously, at the time of the two, valid cognition and result, the apprehended aspect was established as the object to be measured, without distinguishing between truth and falsehood, and the establishment of self-awareness as the result was also without distinguishing between entity and imputation, therefore it was spoken of in terms of both truth and falsehood. Here, the apprehended aspect is established as an imputation, therefore the self-awareness that depends on it is an imputation, which is the establishment of the all-false tenet. Although these three are not different in meaning, they appear as different in the appearance of delusion, to refute the dispute about this, from seeing the sameness of phenomena, etc., are the three verses. If one asks, what is the establishment of valid cognition and result in the all-false tenet's self-awareness, which is made the result with a characteristic? Answer: In that, mind is the complete cutter, etc., are the four verses. Although this is the context of the treatise being all-false, it should be applied to all valid cognition and result of self-awareness that accept self-awareness, because in the Treasury of Reasoning, "In that, the valid cognition and result of self-awareness, the establishment of tenets is mostly the same," at that time this treatise is cited as the knower. Third, explaining the two aspects of mind and the reasoning for establishing self-awareness, there are two: establishing the two aspects, and establishing self-awareness. The first has four: in front of which person to establish, with which mind to establish, the nature of the two aspects to be established, explaining the reasoning for establishing the two aspects. The first is, in front of those who accept external objects, the reasoning for establishing the two aspects is the previous opponent.
