If it is said like that, answer: It is not reasonable. An ordinary person, as a subject of dharma, is separated from the attachment to "mine," because he knows that "mine" and the person are different; although he does not want himself to be transformed into another, he pursues the supreme "mine" for the benefit of others; and, although he clings to himself as permanent, he clings to "mine" as impermanent. Yes. Attachment to power, etc., as a subject of dharma, does not arise from seeing the object and the person as one, because they do not advance or retreat according to whether the object is beneficial or not. That, as a subject of dharma, arises from attachment to oneself, because they advance or retreat according to whether the object is beneficial or not. Third, there are two reasons why one cannot abandon suffering by being disgusted with it: showing that disgust is not detachment from desire, and refuting the fault of not having detachment from desire. The first is: The Vaibhashika says that because one sees power, etc., as suffering, disgust arises for it, and thus one can be detached from that object. If it is said like that, answer: Any intense feeling of suffering, the mind that is now disgusted, as a subject of dharma, is not detachment from desire, because it is the mind that abandons suffering and clings to happiness. That, as a subject of dharma, is not detachment from desire, because if the self-cause of hatred recedes, it will turn into attachment. The second is: Answer: If so, will it become impossible to have detachment from desire? A person who is equal to all desires and non-desires of objects, as a subject of dharma, is called detachment from desire, because he is a person who abandons clinging to the desires and non-desires of objects as something to be taken or abandoned. For example, it is like applying sandalwood from one side and cutting with a sharp instrument from the other side, the two remain equally. Fourth, refuting the contradiction with saying that suffering is something to be cultivated: If so, does it contradict the sutra saying that suffering is something to be cultivated? Answer: It is not reasonable. The Bhagavan, as a subject of dharma, did not mean the suffering of suffering when he said that suffering is something to be cultivated, because he meant the suffering of action arising from the cause of craving when he said that suffering is something to be cultivated. Yes. Universally, practicing the suffering of action, as a subject of dharma, is not only you who can be liberated, because you are only the basis for realizing the view of selflessness, because liberation can be achieved by realizing the view of selflessness. The Bhagavan, as a subject of dharma, practicing impermanence, etc., is the basis for realizing the view of selflessness.

Because your thought is like this, because you are the one who speaks the sutras such as "From knowing that all conditioned things are impermanent, there arises the knowledge that all contaminated things are suffering." Third, if there is no detachment, then one will revolve in samsara: ཆགཾས། (Tibetan) The one who has the "self-grasping" that knows "mine" is suffering, has the property of being a samsaric being, because he is a person who has not been liberated from karma and afflictions. If it is said that even at the time of attaining liberation, one is detached from "mine," then, བདཾག (Tibetan) At the time of attaining liberation, has the property of not having an enjoyer of "mine," because one has already become detached from attachment to "mine." If you admit it, then, that has the property of being without self, because you admit that. Third, therefore, the advice is to uproot the root: དེཾ། (Tibetan) One who seeks liberation, has the property of being reasonable to refute the view of the perishable aggregate, because he is one who wants to abandon samsara, and if the view of the perishable aggregate is not refuted, then one cannot abandon samsara. Second, there are three ways in which meditating on selflessness can abandon craving: refuting the proof that the ritual is an antidote, refuting the proof that the ritual is not an antidote, therefore, it is taught that right view is the antidote. The first has three: refuting the proof of scripture, refuting the proof of example, and refuting the proof of reason. The first is: if even if the view of the perishable aggregate is not refuted, one can be liberated by obtaining the empowerment of Ishvara, because it is said so in the scriptures of Ishvara, then, ལུངཾ་། (Tibetan) The empowerment of Ishvara, has the property that because you are a valid scripture, you cannot establish liberation from the empowerment of Ishvara that is spoken of in you, because you are not a valid scripture. The second is: if one is liberated from samsara by the mantra spoken in the scriptures of Ishvara, because the seed sown by it does not produce sprouts, then, the mantra spoken in the scriptures of Ishvara, has the property that because the seed sown by you does not produce sprouts, you cannot establish that the person sown by you will not produce rebirth, because if this can be established, then there is the fault that applying sesame oil to the body, etc., should also not produce rebirth. The third is: if one is liberated from rebirth by relying on the five fires, because the body was previously heavy and later becomes light, then, སྔརཾ། (Tibetan) The person who relies on the five fires, has the property that because he has destroyed sins, the body was previously heavy and later does not become light
