Earth Deity! You are not a basis for things like water to remain without decaying, because the same faults as before apply to that as well. If so, how is it that we see the terms "basis" and "dependent" applied to those? Substance! Things like pots are not bases in the sense of causing water and the like to remain without decaying, but they are established as bases in the sense of causing water and the like to arise with the same location in successive moments. Pouring! Water, you need another meaning of "basis," because you need a substance that prevents you from pouring downwards. Qualities and universals, you do not need another meaning of "basis," because you are permanent. The third is: This! The reasoning that refutes the established basis and dependent that already exist has another purpose, because it also eliminates the relationship of combination and aggregation, and the basis for things like genera to remain without decaying. The fourth is: Galam! All phenomena, you have no need for a cause that remains without decaying, because if you are destroyed by another cause of destruction, then there is no need for a cause that remains without decaying, and if you are destroyed without another cause of destruction, then the cause that remains without decaying has no power. Basis! All phenomena, it is impossible for you to be destroyed, because if you are, then you are pervaded by having a basis that remains without decaying. Galam! All phenomena such as mind, you have no need for a cause that remains without decaying, because whether you are your own state of being or not, it is unreasonable to have a cause that remains without decaying. The fourth has four parts: establishing a reason that refutes other causes, establishing counter-pervasion on the dissimilar side, refuting the assertion that the reason is not established, and summarizing and showing the proof of one's own cause. The first is: Body! Wisdom and compassion are not produced from the proximate cause of the body, because they do not increase or decrease following the increase or decrease of the body, but they increase or decrease following the increase or decrease of previous wisdom. The second is: This! Pervades, because the previous reason does not exist in the flame of a lamp. The third is: The root reason is not established, because wisdom arises clearly or unclearly from the strength or weakness of the body. If so, then the difference in wisdom that arises from the strength or weakness of the body is not actually produced from the body

No, because you are born through the transmission of the body. Also, the fundamental reason is not established, because attachment and aversion arise from the prosperity and decline of the body. Answer: Attachment and aversion arising from the prosperity and decline of the body, the subject, are not directly produced from your body, because you are born from the feelings of pleasure and pain produced by the prosperity and decline of the body. This: The reason that thoughts, wisdom, greed, etc., are not directly produced from the body is shown, the subject. The consciousness of memory loss caused by gathering plagues, etc., is also said not to be directly produced from the body, because that is also said to be produced from the painful feelings produced by the body. Example: If it is the cause of memory loss, etc., then it does not pervade being its immediate cause, because hearing the sound of a tiger and seeing the blood of being killed causes memory loss and confusion, etc. Fourth: That, wisdom and compassion, etc., the subject, arises from one's own immediate cause, the previous moment of mind, because it advances and retreats according to whether it is beneficial or not. Fifth, there are three: Refuting that body and mind are one is too extreme. Establishing that wrong desire precedes one's own continuum with reason. Refuting that there is no before and after merely because one has not seen it. First: If, body, the subject, you will also clearly manifest the qualities of hearing, etc., because that is manifested in the mind, and you and the mind are the same entity. Second: I, ordinary person, the subject, the thought of wrong desire precedes, because it is not involuntarily bound by others, but takes birth in an inferior place. Total: Pervasive, because both wrong desire are also the primary cause of the production of samsara, because the production of samsara advances and retreats according to whether that is beneficial or not. Third: If, there is no before and after life, because the body between before and after life is not seen. Answer: Non-Buddhists, the subject, merely because you have not seen it, it cannot be established that there is no body between before and after life, because you do not see the body between before and after life because your senses are not clear, just as when the eyes are not clear, even if there is a small smoke, it cannot be seen. If the sentient being taking birth, the subject, is unobstructed in the place of birth.
