There is another necessity, which is to refute the view of the Lokayata that a permanent body produces sequential wisdom, and the Samkhya that a permanent purusha sequentially enjoys objects. Gamla. If it is asserted that only one wisdom arises from the aggregation of the qualities of the self, then from what does that aggregation of the qualities of the self arise? If it is said that it arises from the previous wisdom itself, then, the previous wisdom, as the subject, it is established that the latter does not arise from the former, because the latter arises from the aggregation of the qualities of the self, and that arises from the former. Secondly, if the previous wisdom is the immediate cause of holding the latter wisdom, but not the object of apprehension, then will the latter wisdom shift to another object? Zung. The previous wisdom, as the subject, you possess the characteristic of being the object of apprehension of the latter wisdom. Because you, for the latter wisdom, are the part that truly bestows the appearance and truly generates the sense consciousness of the immediate cause, which is not other than the one that truly generates self-grasping. If it is said that the appearance is what truly generates self-grasping, but it is not necessarily the object of apprehension of the wisdom of self-grasping, then this pervasion is uncertain. Nangam. Appearance, as the subject, it is impossible that the part that truly generates your self-grasping sense consciousness is not the object of apprehension of the self-grasping sense consciousness, because the part that truly generates your self-grasping sense consciousness and the object of apprehension of the self-grasping sense consciousness are of the same entity. Cham. The previous wisdom, as the subject, it is impossible that what was previously the object of apprehension of the latter wisdom, through becoming minute parts etc., later becomes not the object of apprehension of the latter wisdom. Because you are without parts of direction. The third part has three aspects: actual refutation, dispelling objections, and conclusion. First, Zung. When the previous wisdom loses the ability to generate the object of apprehension of the latter wisdom, will the latter wisdom shift to the object? Zung. The object of apprehension, as the subject, it is impossible that you lose the ability to be the object of apprehension of self-grasping wisdom and not lose the ability to generate. Because your ability to be the object of apprehension of self-grasping wisdom and the ability to generate are of the same entity. For example, external objects such as form also do not have another ability to be the object of apprehension of self-grasping wisdom. Blom. All previous wisdom, as the subject, is the object of apprehension of the latter wisdom.

Because the object to be taken and the basis for actual arising are the same. It pervades: If the consciousness that experiences itself is the actual cause of arising, then it must be the object to be taken that is transformed by consciousness. Second: Then, there is a contradiction in that yogis take subtle forms, etc., and the minds of others that are not close at hand as objects to be taken, then: Form, is the measure of conventional terms, dharma. It is not an examination from the perspective of the noble ones, but an examination from the perspective of those who see it. Third: དེཾ། It is possible that the meaning of the external object changes from coarse to fine, etc., so that it was previously an object to be taken, but later it is not an object to be taken, but the consciousness of the appearance of meaning, dharma. It is impossible for it to change from coarse to fine, etc., so that it was previously an object to be taken, but later it is not an object to be taken, because it is not embodied. The later consciousness, dharma. It is impossible for it to become a consciousness that understands the external object, because it holds its own immediately preceding consciousness as the object to be taken. Fourth: ནུཾས། If the ability of the previous consciousness to be the cause of the later consciousness and the ability to be the object to be taken are different entities, and merely being the cause does not make it the object to be taken, then: Things, dharma. One has many abilities that are different entities, and many have one ability that is one entity, so it does not produce many fruits and one fruit, because even without those, its own nature produces many fruits and one fruit. Some of our own schools say: It is impossible for many fruits to arise from one cause alone, because many fruits arise from many causes, then: It is not admitted that many fruits arise from one cause alone, because if it is a fruit, then it must arise from the collection of its own causes and conditions. Cause, dharma. The term "you one produce many fruits" and "you one do not produce many fruits" are not contradictory, because you one are included in the collection of many causes and conditions. For example, just as one lamp produces many fruits. Third, refuting that one holds both meaning and consciousness at the same time: གཾལ། If the later consciousness holds both meaning and consciousness at the same time, then there is no fault of not transferring to other objects, then: སྔཾ། When reciting the two letters A and I without interruption, the memory of holding I, dharma. The two letters A and I are not sequential.
