If it is argued that, by reason, how can the object, the white thing, be distinguished and grasped by the consciousness that grasps white, or not be grasped? Because there is no knowledge of the relationship between the object and the object-possessor of white and the grasping of white. It is pervasive, because when things and consciousness are seen together to be related, it will definitely be said that this thing is seen by this mind. Otherwise, it is not so. The second point has three: if similarity exists, then self-awareness is established; even similarity itself will not be established; if there is no similarity, then it is very excessive. The first point is: even if things and consciousness are not known together, there is no fault as just mentioned, because the consciousness that sees blue and other things arises similar to the things blue and so on, that is seen by other minds, so it will be said that this consciousness sees this thing, and naming is done. Then, this consciousness that sees things, measured by dharma, should be established as self-awareness, because it is a consciousness similar to things. In addition, the consciousness that manifests things, measured by dharma, how can it recognize or not recognize the nature of other things? If you ask why, because it does not recognize its own essence. If it is thought that experiencing things comes from being similar to things, then experiencing things from being similar to things is also unreasonable, because all similar things are mutual, which has already been completely refuted before. The second point is: the subsequent consciousness of recognizing things that is similar to things, measured by dharma, how can it be determined that the things, forms, etc. are similar to the consciousness that sees it? Because the things, forms, etc. have not been seen before. It is pervasive, generally speaking, if both similar things and similar places are seen, then they are grasping similar things, otherwise it is not so. The third point is: for those who do not admit that there is no self-awareness, and that consciousness is similar to things, measured by dharma, neither things nor consciousness will be seen, because there is no self-awareness, and there is no consciousness similar to things. If you admit it, then where will there be things and consciousness that say "this is a thing, this is consciousness"? Because when things and consciousness are not established by valid cognition, there is no way to make meaningful naming. The second point is: if it is said that the white and so on that appear in the root consciousness are the essence of consciousness itself, then the consciousness that grasps white and so on, measured by dharma, is very clear itself

因此,可以得出结论,它是自证的。因为显现于自身的,就是知识本身的实体。此外,显现白色等的意识,是所立宗,是自证或自明的。因为,如果显现为清晰的事物,自身不清晰,那么事物就不会清晰,因为会变成事物不显现为清晰。第三,遮破并非现量的心识而进行成立,分为二:以先前的理证遮破;以其他的理证驳斥。第一,对于那些认为知识不是自证的观点,可以得出结论,所有事物和知识都无法被看见。这个理证驳斥了那些认为心识不是现量成立,而是隐蔽的胜论派,因为损害性的理证是相同的。第二,分为二:以理证成立是现量;如果不是现量,则会产生荒谬的推论。第一,分为二:确立理由;驳斥不成立。第一,自身相续中体验到的快乐、痛苦、欲望和憎恨等的差别,是所立宗,就是心识本身。因为依赖于增上缘,如眼根等;所缘境,如合意与不合意等;以及作意,如串习的差别,而产生喜悦和悲伤等不同的感受。因此,快乐和痛苦等,是所立宗,是自证现量成立的。因为是所体验的,所以成立有体验者。并且,没有任何正量可以了知,通过与它体性不同的其他事物来体验而产生的知识。第二,分为二:陈述对方观点;阐述反驳。第一,快乐等体验者不存在其他事物是不成立的,因为仅仅通过其他意识来认知,就可以安立为体验快乐等。第二,分为二:可以得出结论,自己的快乐等被他人体验;可以得出结论,瑜伽现量体验痛苦。第一,分为二:确立结论;驳斥其他回答。第一,也可以得出结论,其他人也会体验到其他相续的快乐等,因为可以认知其他相续的快乐等。第二,分为二:遮破存在相同或不相同的补特伽罗的差别;

Therefore, it can be concluded that it is self-cognizant. Because what appears clearly to oneself is the very entity of knowledge itself. Furthermore, the mind that perceives whiteness, etc., is the subject of the proposition. It is self-cognizant or self-illuminating. Because, if something appears clearly, but is not clear to itself, then the thing will not be clear, because it will become that the thing does not appear clearly. Third, there are two ways to establish that one's own mind is not manifest: refuting with the previous reasoning and refuting with other reasoning. First, for those who hold the view that knowledge is not self-cognizant, it can be concluded that all things and knowledge are not seen. This reasoning refutes those who say that the mind is not established by direct perception but is hidden, because the damaging reasoning is the same. Second, there are two parts: establishing that it is manifest by means of a sign; if it is not manifest, there will be extreme consequences. First, there are two parts: establishing the reason; refuting the unestablished. First, the differences of happiness, suffering, desire, and hatred, etc., experienced in one's own mindstream are the subject of the proposition. They are the mind itself, because they depend on the empowering condition, such as the eye faculty, etc.; the object, such as agreeable and disagreeable, etc.; and the attention, such as the difference of habituation, and thus engage in different feelings such as joy and sorrow. Therefore, happiness, suffering, etc., are the subject of the proposition. It is established by self-cognizant direct perception. Because it is what is experienced, it is established that there is an experiencer. And there is no valid cognition whatsoever that knows through the experience of something else that is different in nature from it. Second, there are two parts: stating the opponent's view; explaining the refutation. First, it is not established that there is no other thing that experiences happiness, etc., because it is established that happiness, etc., are experienced merely by knowing through another mind. Second, there are two parts: it can be concluded that one's own happiness, etc., are experienced by others; it can be concluded that yogic direct perception experiences suffering. First, there are two parts: establishing the conclusion; refuting other answers. First, it can also be concluded that other persons also experience the happiness, etc., of other mindstreams, because it is possible to know the happiness, etc., of other mindstreams. Second, there are two parts: refuting the difference between whether the individuals are the same or not;
