If there is no contradiction, then the terms "agent" and "object" would not be established, is that so? The nature of knowledge, which holds the appearance of the object, that is the subject. Even though you are not actually the agent, but with the nature of the action of realizing the object, for each of its work areas, such as form, etc., it appears as if it is the agent itself. In reality, all phenomena have no agent, so in reality you are not the agent, but because of your function, it is established as realizing the object. For example, the fruit is like a son, because it arises similar to the nature and appearance of the parents, although in reality it does not have the nature of holding the image of the parents, in the world, just like the son holds the image of the parents, the terms of agent and object are established and spoken. The second part is divided into two aspects: general refutation and separate refutation. The first part is: because other object realization cannot be established except for being similar to the object. Therefore, the valid means of establishing object realization recognized by the Sautrāntika, which is seeing the object, that is, observing the object; and the sense organ with support recognized by the Vaibhāṣika; and the relationship between the sense organ and the object recognized by the Vaiśeṣika, that is, the union; and the special wisdom recognized by the Naiyāyika, these subjects are not recognized as the valid means of establishing object realization, because the action is the determination of object realization, that is, the before and after of the moment. Generally speaking, for the action, even if all the causes, etc., of the agent are close, but what ultimately produces different appearances that are not determined by other actions is considered to be the true valid means of establishing object realization, because it is not other. The second part is divided into four aspects: the sense organ is not the establisher of object realization; holding the difference is not the establisher; the union of the sense organ and the object is not the establisher; the conditioned phenomena arising from habituation is not the establisher. The first part is: for the sense organ with form, this subject, there is no situation where it can separately establish object realization, because it is the common cause of all sense consciousnesses. Therefore, although the clarity and unclearness of the sense organ can cause the knowledge to have the difference of clarity and unclearness, but the sense organ, this subject, for the matter of "this knowledge is the realization of the object," how can it establish it? It cannot establish it, because there is no appearance of different aspects of the object. The sense organ is the establisher of object realization.

This reasoning, which demonstrates the absence of valid cognition, states that, the subject being the case, things like looking at objects are also said to be not valid cognitions that establish understanding, because it is said that the aspect of the object does not arise when looking at objects, etc. Secondly, the Lokayata (Carvaka) school says, "From seeing qualities, one comes to know substances," thus, the mind that apprehends qualities, etc., as distinct is a valid cognition, and the mind that apprehends the qualified substance is the result. And that is also the proponent and the proof of what is to be proven, earlier and later. The mind of distinction, the subject being the case, is not one that has a qualified object, but is one that has a distinct object, and thus it becomes undivided, because the entity of that distinction, i.e., the aspect, does not arise. Other cognitions, the knowledge of the qualified, are also, the subject being the case, similarly, not those that have a distinct object, but are those that have a qualified object, and thus it becomes indistinguishable, because the aspect of the qualified does not arise. Furthermore, the knowledge of distinction and the qualified, the subject being the case, also do not want to engage with different objects, because it becomes reasoning, because it becomes the result to be proven and the valid cognition that is its proof. If there is no fault, because those two cognitions that arise at different times are objects, i.e., valid cognition and result that have the same object. The knowledge of distinction, the subject being the case, engages with the object you have already realized, and the second mind, the knowledge of the qualified, which you have designated as your result, becomes meaningless, because you are the valid cognition that realizes it. Furthermore, the two minds of distinction and the qualified, the subject being the case, become not arising in sequence, because one object has made the objective condition for both of you. If you accept, then those two minds, the subject being the case, become without the proponent and the proof of valid cognition and result, because they become arising simultaneously. The pervasion is accepted. Then, the understanding of the object and the likeness of the object, the subject being the case, become without the proponent and the proof, because they become arising simultaneously. The cognition of the appearance of the object, the subject being the case, a part of you, the understanding of the object, and the likeness of the object, etc., are established as the proponent and the proof, because your understanding of the object, the establishment on that, is to be established based on the arising of the likeness of the object. Thirdly, the Vaisheshika says, the connection of the sense faculty and the object, or
