In order to prove that the former two are not born of sense perception, examples are given to explain. The second part has three points: explaining in detail the arising of illusion; explaining in detail the establishment of inference, etc.; explaining in detail how to prove the former. The first point is: what is the reason for mistaking the two for sense consciousness? For example, the general concept of holding a symbol-dependent vase, and attaching things to other things, such as holding a mirage as water. These concepts, at some point, have the cause of being mistaken for cognition arising from the senses. Because through the manifestation of the senses seeing vases and mirages, etc., and approaching them, interacting with them simultaneously, doubts arise about their objects. The second point is: for example, these four concepts of memory, etc., with hidden meanings, do not directly grasp the manifested object, because grasping one's own object depends on the symbolic memory of one's own object. The third point is: for example, for things like vases, the conventional cognition that holds general concepts, etc., and the illusory cognition that regards mirages as water, etc., will completely lose the ability to grasp the manifested object, because without the symbolic memory of vases, etc., that have been previously experienced, they themselves would not exist. The third part has three points: stating the nature of sense perception itself; refuting the views of others who consider it to be a mental concept; summarizing and showing the meaning of both refutation and proof. The first point is: in this occasion of explaining false appearances, it is necessary for the teacher to distinguish the fourth false appearance, namely non-conceptual illusory cognition, from the category of concepts with the word "accompanied by blurred vision." Because it is generally said that "non-conceptuality is appearance," but even without conceptuality, if there is illusion, it is a false appearance, so it is shown by special exclusion. Because the word "accompanied by blurred vision" refers to the cognition arising from the damage caused to the senses by internal and external factors, all are called false appearances. The reason why only blurred vision is mentioned when explaining the factors that damage the senses is that it is closest to damaging the senses.

It also represents all other conditions, because it merely indicates the conditions that give rise to erroneous sensory consciousness. The second part has two parts: stating the view and refuting it. The first part is: the consciousnesses of those with cataracts and those who hold the two moons, etc., are not erroneous sensory consciousnesses, but rather the consciousness of mind, merely conceptual thought, so in order to exclude it, there is no special word meaning, because the nature of direct perception is excluded by non-conceptual thought, some commentators of the sutras say. The second part has two parts: refuting the view of consciousness through scripture and reason, and refuting conceptual thought through the reason of direct force. The first part has two parts: refuting through the scripture of the debater, and refuting through being the same as other sensory bases. The first part is: when the teacher establishes the objective conditions of direct perception in debate, the meaning proponents say that atoms are the objective conditions of sensory direct perception, then is it called an objective condition because the direct perception of the senses holds it in this way? Or is it called an objective condition because it is the cause of sensory direct perception? The former is not established, if according to the latter, then it should also become the object of the senses of names, etc., because they are also truly existent in other ways, and are the cause of the consciousnesses that appear as two moons, etc., and appear as blue, etc., therefore the senses of blue and two moons, etc., of consciousness are also causes, this treatise and the view that the consciousness of the clear appearance of two moons is conceptual thought are contradictory, if they are conceptual thoughts of consciousness, then it should not be said that the senses are their cause. If it is said that the meaning of that treatise is explained through transmission that the senses are the cause of holding two moons, etc., but not the direct cause, therefore it is not contradictory, then when analyzing and preventing the senses from being the objective conditions of the object of consciousness, the senses as a dharma, should become the objective conditions of the consciousness of mind, because it is the indirect cause of the consciousness of mind, then how should this apply to the present situation? Because it is not, therefore it is not established, because it is in the case of preventing the cause of sensory consciousness from being the objective condition of sensory consciousness. The second part is: Furthermore, relying on the senses, what is the nature of what is considered sensory consciousness? If it is said that any consciousness directly follows the presence or absence of the senses, then the clear appearance of two moons
