It is not established, because when you experience suffering in subsequent continuums, you see that it is different from the previous happiness. Here, if most Tibetans think that when a mental factor like feeling, as a component of the primary consciousness, arises clearly, the other mental factors are obscured so that their differences cannot be seen, then this statement commits the fault of the Hinayana tenet of considering mind and mental factors, and mental factors among themselves, as different entities. Otherwise, when feeling arises clearly, do the other pervasive mental factors exist or not? If they do not exist, then the primary consciousness, if it is mind, cannot pervade the five pervasive mental factors. If they exist, then is it and feeling one entity or different entities? If it is the former, then what is desired is accomplished. If it is the latter, although there are different entities, the valid cognition does not recognize that there are different entities, which seems to be the former's view. Therefore, the statement "Different different not established, decline," and all types represented by the statement "Different different not existent, dependent," why would they not become obstacles? Please think carefully. Therefore, this treatise is about those mental factors that can arise successively in the continuum of a primary consciousness, but cannot arise simultaneously. For mental factors that arise simultaneously, they are one entity, so when one arises clearly, there is no need to obscure the others. Fourth, explaining the manifest yoga by establishing the correct appearance. In the Sutra on Valid Cognition, it says: "Taught by the teacher of yogis, seeing only the meaning of non-mixture." The teacher of yogis mentioned here is the yoga of selflessness. Connect "seeing" with it. How to connect it? By what is said, that is, in a way that is not mixed with speech. What is seen? Only the meaning of the self-characteristic distinguished by selflessness. According to the Sautrantika view, seeing selflessness manifestly means seeing the self-characteristic of the aggregates distinguished by selflessness, not seeing the negation of self or seeing the non-affirming negation. Therefore, in this treatise, there are also two situations: one is establishing freedom from conceptualization by seeing non-mixture with speech, and the other is establishing seeing the true meaning through the teacher of yogis. There are three here: the entity, the meditation-born, the explanation, the sign.

The practice of being free from conceptualization. The explanation of the conceptualization to be freed from. First: Are all the knowledge of the Yoga Tantra the direct perception of Yoga? Answer: The knowledge of a yogi, such as the four noble truths explained in the previous second chapter, is the subject of the clear appearance that arises from meditating on the sixteen aspects such as impermanence. It is the direct perception of Yoga, because it is the mind that clearly shows the true meaning by the power of meditating on the true meaning. The second has four: Establishing that clear appearance arises from habituation. Achieving non-conceptualization through clear appearance. There is also clear appearance in what is not true. Explaining by distinguishing whether it is valid or not. First: The mind that meditates on the four noble truths is the subject. When habituation reaches its limit, the meaning of what is to be habituated appears as clear, because when habituation reaches its limit, the net of conceptualization is completely cleared from the meaning of what is to be habituated. For example, attachment, fear, and sorrow are delusions, that is, the deception of habituation and the dreams of thieves' habituation, etc., rely on deception, and by the power of habituation, it is as if they are present in front of you, and even the objects of attachment, etc., which are not true, will be clearly seen. Second: How can it be established that there is no conceptualization even if clear appearance is achieved through the power of meditation? Answer: The direct perception of Yoga is the subject. There is no conceptualization of the true meaning, because the true meaning is clearly visible. It is pervasive, because the mind that is related to conceptualization is not the one that clearly shows the meaning that it has conceptualized. If it is said that there is also clear appearance in conceptualization, because the knowledge of dreams is conceptual, but its own object is clearly visible. Answer: The conceptualization of memory in dreams is the subject. The object that it has conceptualized is not clearly visible, because when the clear appearance that depends on the object is deceived without having such a meaning, it is a memory. Third: If you say that clear appearance arises in all habituation, then you contradict the fact that the direct perception of Yoga is considered to have clear appearance in the true meaning. Answer: Clear appearance also arises from meditating on what is not true, such as impure things like skeletons, and the exhaustion of earth and water, etc., which are not true.
