The explanation of the meaning of "no conceptualization for the sake of entering" is twofold: general establishment and the meaning of the text. The first is: The Sugata said, "Monks, there are two kinds of color consciousness, namely, relying on the eye and the mind." Tsongkhapa established this by actually showing the proof of non-conceptualization and by implicitly stating the commitment, because Dignāga said, "The mind is also an object." The glorious Dharmakīrti, considering that the proof of non-conceptualization had already been shown in the case of sense direct perception, did not explain it here, but presented two arguments by non-Buddhist non-ear-piercers regarding the meaning of Dignāga's acceptance of mental direct perception. As an answer to these arguments, he refuted some who think that the nature of mental direct perception is to hold the meaning that has already been held by sense direct perception, and that one's own system does not have the fault that the blind can see forms, because it holds something other than the meaning held by sense direct perception. He refuted the argument that this would lead to holding an undetermined self-object, and from this he refuted the view that the object and subject of mental direct perception are simultaneous, and from this he avoided the view that holding is contradictory if the times are different. These six points are shown in order by "if previously experienced holding" etc., "just for a moment" etc., "therefore the senses" etc., "self-meaning following" etc., "that and the time of doing" etc., "different times" etc. The second part has four: Recording the debate examining the two extremes. Refuting other answers that the former is reasonable. Stating one's own view that the latter is reasonable. Refuting the indirect refutation of the debate. The first is: The non-Buddhist non-ear-piercer says: Does that mental direct perception hold the meaning that was previously held by sense direct perception, or does it hold the meaning that was not held? If the former, then mental direct perception is the subject. It is not a valid cognition, because it holds what was previously experienced by a valid cognition. If the latter, then the blind and the deaf etc. are also the subject. They will see and hear the meanings of forms and sounds etc., because even if the sense direct perception does not see, the mind can hold the self-characteristics of forms etc., because there is mind. If you say so: The second part has two: Because it is past, there is no seeing what was previously experienced. If seen, it will be harmed by three faults. The first is: That mental direct perception
