Whatever are the meaning and the knowledge of meaning, are subjects. How can they be remembered separately from the outside and not remembered? Because the appearance of the knowledge held by you two, at the time of experiencing, that is, realization, there is no separate good realization due to the difference of good realization. The third is, for those who think that the experience of meaning and the mind of meaning, that is, the experience of the object-possessors, arise in sequence, the person of meaning knowledge is the subject. The knowledge of meaning appears as meaning, and the knowledge that experiences the knowledge of meaning appears as the knowledge of meaning, various kinds are realized in sequence, because the knowledge of meaning and the entity that experiences it exist in sequence as others. The fault of this very debate is difficult to remove, like this, when cognizing blue and so on, is the appearance of blue and so on that appears on the blue-cognizing consciousness the same or not, that is, does it realize it, or other than that, does the appearance of the blue-cognizing consciousness that appears on the knowledge that experiences the blue-cognizing consciousness not realize it? Or does it realize one blue-cognizing consciousness, and what appears as blue is experience, that is, the experience of the object-possessor of experience, that entity other than the blue-cognizing consciousness, because the appearance as blue-cognizing consciousness is not realized. For self-awareness, there is no such fault, because the aspect of meaning and the aspect of experience are established as one. Secondly, it is wrong that the later consciousness does not transfer to the object, there are two: implicitly stating the reason for endlessness, explicitly stating the reason for non-transfer. The first is, Master Dignāga said that if the earlier and later consciousnesses are experienced by others with the sign of memory, then establishing what is already established is the establishment, as a response to this, if knowledge is experienced by others, then there is no end, there is also memory of that, likewise transferring to other objects, non-transfer also sees that. Thus, two reasons were stated, the first of which implicitly states here that even without the self-awareness of cognizing blue, it is thought that the later consciousness is experienced by others, then the later consciousness is the subject. Later it will not be remembered, because it has not been experienced. It cannot be thought like this, because my knowledge is like this, thus memory is also seen. If the reason for not experiencing is not established, then who experiences the later consciousness? If it is said that it is also experienced by the later consciousness that follows it, then the appearance of meaning.

Consciousness (ཤེས་པ་,梵文:vijñāna,IAST:vijñāna,Literal meaning: consciousness), you should become without an experiencer, because you need a subsequent consciousness, and that subsequent consciousness also needs to be experienced by another subsequent consciousness. The second part has two points: stating the thesis and refuting defenses against faults. The first point is: If that's the case, setting aside for the moment the fault that the teacher said that there is no transference to other objects even through memory, the question is asked in order to show that there is no transference to other aspects: What is the actual generator of this subsequent consciousness, which is a continuous stream of consciousness, one after the other? If it is said that it is the previous mind, then, the subsequent consciousness that appears as an object, should not transfer from the previous consciousness to other objects such as form, because the previous consciousness is its object. To establish the pervasion, the subsequent consciousness that appears as an object, how can it grasp other objects such as form if it does not grasp the previous mind that is close to itself, that is, the actual generator? It will not grasp. Because the previous mind itself has become the nature of what is grasped, that is, the object to be grasped. The second part has four points: refuting the transference to the object by external obstacles; refuting the transference after the previous power is exhausted; refuting one consciousness grasping both the object and the consciousness; refuting that there is no experiencer of the subsequent consciousness at the time of transference. The first point is: If it is said that when an external object is near, it obstructs the subsequent consciousness from grasping the previous consciousness, so the subsequent consciousness transfers to the object, then, the previous consciousness, when the subsequent consciousness grasps you, what other external limbs, such as form, will obstruct it? It will not obstruct it, because you are an internal limb that is determined to be the nature of directly generating the subsequent consciousness that is focused on the self. Therefore, the previous consciousness, even if an external object is near, the subsequent consciousness cannot obstruct you from being grasped, otherwise, if it could obstruct, then when objects such as form are near, no one should experience the previous consciousness, because there would be such a fault. Furthermore, a person, it is impossible to experience the previous consciousness, because there is never a time when an external object is not near, therefore. If you admit it, then a person will not have memories of previous consciousness.
