Ra thal. It follows that there is the experience of suffering as direct perception of yoga. The first part has two aspects: establishing the consequence, and refuting the answers of others. The first part is: Other people, as the subject, from that (feeling), the happiness etc. of other continuums will become what they enjoy, that is, experience. Because there is the possibility of other continuums' happiness etc. being cognized. The second part has two aspects: refuting the existence of differences in whether they are similar in arising or not, and refuting the existence of differences in whether they are direct perception or not. The first part is: If the mind that holds the happiness etc. of other continuums, as the subject, is not experiencing happiness etc., that is, it is not produced by happiness etc., nor does it appear as happiness etc. Because, the mind that is produced by happiness etc. and appears as happiness etc. itself cognizes, that is, experiences happiness etc. Then, does the objective condition of that mind, the happiness etc. of other continuums, make it or not? If it does, then focusing on other happiness etc., for other minds, as the subject, being born from other happiness etc., and appearing as other happiness etc., these two undoubtedly exist. Because other happiness etc. act as your objective condition. If it is not born from other happiness etc., nor does it appear as other happiness etc., then, the mind that holds the happiness etc. of other continuums, as the subject, will become that the happiness etc. of other continuums is not your object. Because it is not a similar thing arising from the happiness etc. of other continuums. If that mind does not hold the self-characteristic of other happiness etc., but holds the general characteristic of other happiness etc., therefore it is not without an object, then, the mind that holds other happiness etc., as the subject, will also not hold the objects of the general characteristic of other happiness etc. Because the clarity of other happiness etc. is not held. It pervades: If the general characteristic is slightly real, then it can be held without relying on clarity, but the general characteristic is not real at all. This has also been said before. Because there is a fault in other minds experiencing happiness etc., therefore the things that appear as happiness etc., as the subject, the mind that experienced it earlier, is generally direct perception, and especially established as self-cognizing direct perception. Because it is not different from the mind that experiences itself, that is, it is the same entity. The second part has two aspects: establishing the consequence, and refuting the avoidance of faults. The first part is: If

If it is said that another's consciousness is merely grasping at another's happiness, etc., but it is not grasping as manifest. One's own consciousness manifestly grasps one's own happiness, etc., therefore there is a difference in whether or not joy and sorrow arise for oneself and others. If this is said, then, the two minds that grasp the happiness, etc., of oneself and others, as the subject, from where does the difference of manifestly grasping or not grasping the happiness, etc., of oneself and others come from? It should not be so. Because, one's own happiness, etc., is the same in making the object of meaning that is hidden from oneself. The second point is: If it is said that this pervasion does not exist. Because, for oneself, there is unseen karma that experiences one's own happiness, etc.; one's own happiness, etc., and one's own consciousness both have a connection that exists in the same meaning of self; and so on, the自在天 is pleased with experiencing one's own happiness, etc.; for others, the opposite is true, therefore one can determine separately whether one experiences or does not experience the happiness, etc., of oneself and others. If this is said, then, the happiness, etc., of others, as the subject, should not be grasped by others in any way. Because, others do not have the karma, etc., that grasps it. If it is said that there is no fault. Because, from karma, etc., there is a difference in experiencing or not experiencing the happiness, etc., of oneself and others, but it is the same merely in grasping. If this is said, then, one's own mind, as the subject, it is also unreasonable that there is a difference in experiencing one's own happiness, etc., as manifest, and not experiencing the happiness, etc., of others as manifest. Because, with the reason that the happiness, etc., of oneself and others is the same as hidden, it has already been refuted immediately. The second part is divided into two points: presenting the inference, refuting the defense against the fault. The first point is: Those yogis who manifestly experience and cognize the happiness and suffering, etc., of others, as the subject, just as suffering arises in the continuum, they should also be tormented by suffering. Because, experiencing suffering is the same, that is, merely cognizing suffering is the same. The pervasion is admitted. The second point is: If it is said that, for those yogis, the suffering that arises from the aggregation of objects, etc., and sense faculties does not arise, because there is no aggregation of objects and sense faculties. If this is said, then, the debater, as the subject, because the yogi knows the suffering of others, therefore he should experience suffering, regarding this, because suffering does not arise, therefore suffering
