This too is the subject. It is not permissible, for if it were, then the senses born together with the consciousness arising from the previous senses would also become objects of consciousness. Therefore, regarding the sense consciousness produced by the previous object, although that previous object does not appear directly, it can be said that the previous object appears clearly. This is because it appears as the very aspect imparted by the previous object. How can another object born together with consciousness appear clearly to simultaneous consciousness? It cannot. This is because simultaneous consciousness, with its similar aspect, is not the impartor of aspects. Since simultaneous consciousness is not a benefactor, it does not impart aspects to it. Secondly, although the momentary object does not appear because it has ceased at the time of consciousness, permanent entities such as vajras and stones exist until they are destroyed at the time of their own resultant consciousness. If it is said that the object itself appears to the mind, then whatever is asserted to be a stable entity, such as the objects of vajras and stones, the consciousness of all beings focused on them should arise simultaneously solely from themselves. This is because the actual producers of the objects of all beings do not need to rely on other conditions because they are permanent. If they produce their own objects, it is because they rely on helping each other by acting together. If the minds of the objects of vajras and so on arise in sequence, then vajras and stones and so on must be said to be different from each other in each previous and subsequent moment. This is because they are producers of the minds of the objects in sequence, relying on the conditions that act together. If it is asserted, then this, too, vajras and so on, should not appear directly to the consciousness of the objects. Because it is destroyed at the time of the consciousness of the objects, the fault is the same as before. Secondly, there are two ways to explain and establish later recollection: the object aspect is established by the existence of recollection, and if there is no object aspect, there is too much. Initially, some former commentators on the scriptures said that the two aspects of object and object-possessor are established by the former, so they do not establish it by the reason of recollection, but establish the two aspects of knower and known, and experiencer and experienced, in self-awareness itself. To refute that,

"There is no debate about experiencing it oneself." It is very unreasonable to apply this scripture, because the non-image school does not accept self-awareness, so it does not accept the two aspects of the object of experience and the subject of experience in self-awareness itself. So how should it be? Some commentators say that only the two aspects of object and subject are established by the sign of memory. If so, then, for the non-image school, it is not necessary to establish that the appearance as an object is experienced by the mind of the subject, because there is no debate that the appearance of the object is experienced by the knowledge itself. So what should be established? What should be established is that the appearance is the nature of the object, because the appearance itself is not established. Moreover, the knowledge that appears as form, etc., is the subject, and at its own time, it is the separate experience of the appearance of the object, because later it can correctly recall the difference between "This is the holder of form, not the holder of sound," and so on. The meaning is that those who think that consciousness is without image, think that the appearance of the object is manifested in the knowledge itself, and generally establish the two aspects of object and subject, but the appearance of the object itself is considered to be the object itself, not the nature of the mind, so the two aspects of becoming the nature of the mind are established. This is very important for all occasions of establishing two aspects, and for the key points of the two schools of Vaibhashika and Sutra. Second, if the appearance of the object does not appear separately and is not experienced in that way, then the knowledge that appears as form, etc., is the subject, and later recalls the difference between "This is the holder of form, it is like this, not the holder of sound, it is like that," etc., this will not exist, because one's own object of experience, form, etc., is not separated from itself, and the appearance of the object is not experienced separately, and the experience of all objects is the same. Therefore, the knowledge of the appearance of the object is the subject, and if the appearance of one's own object does not appear, then your difference cannot be distinguished by the subsequent memory consciousness through some differences, "This is the holder of form, this is the holder of sound," because the experience of all objects is the same. If it is said that it is not pervasive, because for each object, due to the difference in the aggregation of causes, it can be recalled separately later, then, for the knowledge of the appearance of the object, it is the subject, each object
