If it is remembered as not having, then initially, just like taking blue, it arises directly from something like a blue object. It will be remembered as being related to that object or as having the aspect of that object. The subsequent consciousness that grasps it is the subject. It is not the case that later consciousness remembers it as having the aspect of blue, because there is no seeing that the earlier consciousness is actually related to the blue object, i.e., arising. Third, there are two ways to establish the reason of certain simultaneous perception: establishing two ways by refuting external objects, and establishing two ways by relying on objects. The first has three parts: refuting that appearance is an external object, refuting other establishers of external objects, and refuting arguments against the non-existence of external objects. The first has three parts: establishing the thesis, establishing pervasion, and summarizing the established meaning. The first is: that which appears as blue, etc., is the subject. How can it be established as a different substance from the self-appearing mind? It cannot be established, because it is necessarily experienced simultaneously with the self-appearing mind. The second is: that reason does not exist in the similar class, because if perceived simultaneously, it is pervaded by appearing as different, and that is pervaded by being truly different. If you say so, the root consciousness that appears as blue and its appearance as blue at the same time are the subject. Although it appears as different, it cannot be established as truly different, because it appears as different while not being different. For example, a deluded consciousness sees two moons, which are not different in reality. If you say that the reason enters the dissimilar class, just as the appearance of blue and the appearance of yellow are sometimes perceived simultaneously, then the appearance of blue, yellow, etc., as different substances is the subject. There is no certainty of simultaneous experience, because perceiving one does not pervade perceiving the other. Therefore, the consciousness that appears as blue and the appearance of blue are not different in reality, because without experiencing the grasping of blue, the experience of some aspect of the blue object, without the aspect of the blue object, the experience of grasping blue will not occur, therefore. The third is: the aspect of the blue object that appears simultaneously to the root consciousness that grasps blue is the subject. It is extremely difficult to refute that it is not an object other than the root consciousness that grasps blue.

Because, it and together are definite. Second, the appearance that appears as meaning is the same as those with aspects that are no different from consciousness, the Sutra School says that the appearance is given by the external object, if asked for its establishment, the consciousness of the sense organs, is a dharma, it can be inferred that your cause, which is different from the root consciousness, exists, because other causes, even if the root consciousness exists, you sometimes do not arise, thus it is established that there is another cause, if it is said that that is the external object, the mistaken root consciousness, is a dharma, if from the previous reason it is only established that there is another cause of yours, then it is already established and re-established, if the external object is established, then the pervasion is uncertain, if it is said that your similarity, not from the direct cause, but from the difference between the maturity and immaturity of the habit of the appearance of meaning, determines whether you arise or not, then it is possible to establish the external object from that reason, but because that is how it is said. Third, there are two, even without an external object, the agent and the knower are reasonable, the knower is the appearance of consciousness, refuting the argument. First, if there is no external object, the rules of things like sprouts growing from seeds and inferring fire from smoke would be unreasonable, if asked like this, sprouts growing from seeds, and fire being established from the sign of smoke, like this, in sequence, in name, the rules of things that are established as agents and knowers that depend on external objects, are also dharmas, if analyzed, they do not depend on external objects, if they do not depend on external objects, but do not depend on external objects, the stream of consciousness that appears as seeds, etc., immediately after that appears as sprouts, etc., like that, definitely related, that is, depending on the consciousness that arises, if the rules of the agent and the knower are understood, then what is contradictory to the valid cognition? Because there is none. Second, if that is the case, then smoke should not be produced by fire, because the consciousness that appears as smoke is not produced by the consciousness that appears as fire, and because there is no other fire and smoke besides that. If admitted, then the smoke as a result, is a dharma, you should not be unrecognized as a cause on some basis, because you are not produced by fire. If it is also admitted that the appearance of smoke is the cause of the appearance of fire, then what about the sign of smoke?
