Because there are differences, there are three ways to prove it. The first consciousness remembers two ways, and the later consciousness remembers more in each way. In this way, the assertion that things with aspects do not hold true is refuted. The first is: the consciousness of an object is the eye, etc., which holds onto forms, etc., and its consciousness is the memory consciousness that focuses on it. Here it is explained that the two ways are established by the difference in the amount of aspects of these two. That is, the consciousness with aspects that experiences objects such as forms is also the subject. The mind itself is dependent on the two parts that appear as objects, because with one characteristic of holding itself, the later consciousness focuses on it and becomes the object. This is pervasive, because if this consciousness is not the aspect of the object, then how can it exist in the consciousness that focuses on itself in a way that has the aspect of the object? That is, it will not appear, because it will not change. The second is: the reason why the first consciousness has two ways is like this, the first consciousness that holds onto objects such as forms is the subject. You and the later conceptual thought that focuses on you, and the later conceptual thought that focuses on it, which is wisdom, are all one apprehended aspect. Each one is more than the previous one, because you are the nature of things, that is, the aspect and the aspect of consciousness itself. Because the second consciousness focuses on the way of having two aspects, and the second consciousness is on top of those aspects, sometimes the third wisdom will recognize that it has mine, that is, the aspect of the grasper. Similarly, the third consciousness, etc., is also because the later consciousness recognizes more in each way. The third has four aspects: if it is mixed because it is the result of things, then it is too much. Mixing with things is nothing other than similar. Because it is similar, it is remembered to be mixed with things. Otherwise, the later would be too much without mixing. The first is: if the consciousness that holds onto forms, etc., is not held by the later consciousness distinguished by the aspect of the object because it is the aspect of the object, but because this consciousness is the direct result of things, so if this consciousness is remembered, things will also be remembered, therefore the later erroneous memory will mix the mind and things, and remember that this consciousness has the aspect of things, then, the cause of consciousness is appearance and mind.

Regarding the function, it is also a subject. When the later consciousness remembers the previous consciousness, since the memory mixes those with those previous consciousnesses, therefore the memory will also become possessed of the images of those previous consciousnesses, because it is the cause of the previous consciousness. Similarly, all effects are also subjects, they will hold together with their own causes, because they are the effects of their own causes. If you admit, then consciousness is a subject, if you do not remember the potter and the wheel, etc., you will not remember the pottery pot, because all effects are pervasive with holding together with their own causes. Second, if the object, appearance, and attention are the same for the cause of object consciousness, but the consciousness remembers as possessing the image of the object, and does not remember the images of those others, because that consciousness has the difference made by the object. Then, sense consciousness is a subject, from where does the difference made by the object come? What else will the difference that you rely on and hold by mixing with things similar to the object become other than things similar to you? It is not other, because there is no difference made by things other than similar things. The consciousness of the object appearance is a subject, there is an example of mistaking things for things similar to them, because in twins, etc., it is seen that they are mixed into one because of similarity. Even so, the image-bearing consciousness is established. Third, if the first consciousness, as the nature of object consciousness, is not the two images of having object and consciousness, but has only the one image of holding, then the nature of the second consciousness that focuses on it is also a subject, you will definitely not be distinguished from the mind that holds and the first consciousness, because you are the same as the one image that holds without the image of the object, because if the first consciousness does not have the image of the object, there will be the fault of not being able to distinguish it from the second consciousness. The first consciousness, such as holding blue, etc., is a subject, it is the nature of itself blue, etc., that is, the consciousness of the image existing in front, in this way it is mixed with things and related, because the second consciousness that holds itself as possessing the image of things will become the object. Fourth, since the mind possesses the image of things, it is remembered as possessing the image of things, otherwise, since it is the real fruit of things, it is the
