It is not me, because why, like the self-nature of the form of things, there exists purity and impurity, etc., in perception, appearing in that way, so it is determined that this thing exists as purity and impurity, etc., and thus it is established. It is universally established because the awareness of form is the awareness of self-nature. Therefore, the reason for establishing the awareness of things is that it is similar to the things that exist in the mind. The function of the similarity of things is the awareness of things in name, but if analyzed, it is self-awareness, because why, like the form of things, how it exists and appears in the mind, the self-awareness of the form is very clearly manifested. Third, if the external object becomes the measurable, then the two, measure and result, become other entities in the realm. Because the measure is similar to things, it is related to things, and the result is self-awareness, so it is related to its own nature, if you ask like this. The two, measure and result, are not other entities in the realm. Although it is self-awareness when analyzed, it is accepted as the awareness of things in name, because the form that appears to you two is established as things in name, and if analyzed, you are its self-nature. Fourth, if the perceived aspect is taken as the measure, then this is established as the self-awareness result, which contradicts the previously stated awareness of things as the result, if you ask like this. The perception of the appearance of things is said to be the self-awareness result when analyzing its own nature, that is, the way of existence, and the previously stated awareness of things is also because it is the self-awareness of its own nature. Third, why is it unreasonable to establish the external object as the measurable, even if the thing exists, there is no real experience, if you ask like this. Like the Sautrantika, the perception is similar to the external object, or the form arises by its power, or like the Yogacara, it is similar to other habits, or the form may arise by its power. The perception of the appearance of things, the external object is considered to be the measurable, because the reason why the form of things appears in that way is also the external object, so the former is the cause of the creation of form, so it is the substantial cause, and the latter is the objective condition of appearance, so it is the cause in name. Other meanings of "similarity", some Indians interpret as "dissimilarity", which is not the meaning of the words, similarity is the appearance of form.

Since it is "ON," it should be understood that it has the same meaning as "other" in the context of "outside" or "other." This combination method also seems not to be understood by others. The consciousness that appears as meaning, has the property. How can it grasp meaning and not grasp meaning? Because the reality of meaning does not appear directly, but exists in the form of appearance. For example, like the appearance of horses, cows, etc. in dreams. The consciousness that appears as meaning, has the property. If analyzed, it is true that it does not grasp external objects. If analyzed, I also do not understand the kind of grasping of external objects, because I do not want that. From "doing things" to "here," it is because of realizing that it is related to actions. And "or it is the result of self-awareness." And "from its nature, the meaning is determined." And "indicated by the appearance of the object itself," it should be known that this is explaining the four pramanas and results in order. Fourth, even if the appearance is false, the result of self-awareness can be established, which has two aspects: because the appearance is false, it is not self-awareness. When measuring oneself, the self-awareness pramana and result can be established. The first aspect has four points: even if there are no three, the grasped, the grasper, and consciousness, they will appear in illusion. For that appearance, establish the three, pramana, result, and measurement. Refute that the appearance itself is established as true. If there is no truth, then there is no illusion, thus avoiding this statement. The first point is: In the Compendium, it says: "When the appearance is the object to be measured, the pramana and its result, grasping the appearance is consciousness, therefore, do not regard these three as different." This is explaining its meaning. If there is no external object, then how can the establishment of the three, pramana, result, and measurement be possible? The mind that appears as meaning, has the property. For meaning, the three, pramana, result, and measurement are not different, because even if your nature is unique, the three, the grasped, the grasper, and consciousness cannot be distinguished. However, people with inverted views who are confused by ignorance will distinguish you as having the appearance of the grasped, the appearance of the grasper, and the experience of the result. For example, for those senses that are deceived by mantras, medicines, etc., lumps of clay and containers, etc. are separated from the images of horses, cows, etc., but lumps of clay, etc. will appear as images of horses, cows, etc. different from themselves. If it is said that horses, cows, etc. are newly produced from mantras, etc., then, those things like lumps of clay, etc., have the property. They have not become horses, cows, etc.
