It is. The reason for thinking that attachment to the object (thing) is without fault is not established. Because that attachment to 'mine' is the root of suffering, so it is also with fault. If you say so, then the word "also" includes that I am faultless from the aspect of the object (thing). Then, I as the subject, become faulty, because the root of suffering is the same for you. If you admit, then the seeker of liberation as the subject, just because of the reason of being faulty, for whatever is 'mine', that attachment will separate, and will not not separate. Because for the matter that I am faulty, for that fault of 'mine', there is also no separation of attachment. Sixth, if for 'mine', it is attachment arising from seeing merit, then seeing the fault of 'mine' should destroy it, but the attachment to the senses etc. of 'mine', as the subject, is not just arising from seeing the merit of 'mine'. Because for children and livestock etc. who do not know the difference between merit and fault, you also see it. And for one's own defective senses, you also exist. And even if possessing merit, for the senses etc. of other people, you also do not exist. And for the past and the hair etc. that has fallen off from the body of 'mine', even if seeing that it possesses merit, you also do not exist. If you say that the cause of attachment to 'mine' is the thought of 'mine', and that arises from seeing merit, so by meditating on suffering, one abandons it. Then, the cause of the thought of 'mine' arising for 'mine', as the subject, is not just because of seeing the merit of 'mine'. Because for children etc., you also exist, so that is the reason. Therefore, a person as the subject, through seeing the fault of non-merit of the senses etc., the thought of 'mine' for the senses etc. is also not abandoned. Because the thought of 'mine' is also not arising from seeing merit. Seventh, also, the practice of meditating on 'mine' as suffering, as the subject, how does it harm the attachment to 'mine'? It will not harm. Because its cause is the attachment to 'I', which is without harm. This is pervasive, because the merit that does not exist for 'mine' is due to the attachment to the fabricated 'I', so in 'mine' also seeing the attachment. Second, through understanding the difference between the senses and I (Atman), one cannot abandon it, the Samkhya says, attachment does not arise from seeing merit, but from nature.

If one clings to the environment and the individual as one, then attachment to that environment arises. If one knows that they are separate, then one becomes free from attachment. If someone asks: Then, all ordinary beings have the fault of being attached to power, etc., and being unable to be free from it, because you think that they become free from attachment by knowing that power, etc., are separate from me. This is because, even though they do not want me to become someone else, they actually seek to obtain the superior things of others, such as power. And, although they think that I am permanent, they have the wisdom to know the arising and ceasing of power, etc. Therefore, attachment is not caused merely by seeing the environment and the individual as one. Even if one knows that the environment and the individual are separate, attachment will still arise. So, what is the cause of my clinging? Clinging to me is the reason why you cling to me. Merely because of your existence, grasping arises, and consequently, attachment naturally arises in the internal limbs that give rise to consciousness, such as power, etc., which belong to me. Third, being unable to abandon due to aversion to suffering is divided into two parts: showing that aversion is not freedom from attachment, and refuting the fault of not being free from attachment. The first part: If one thinks that by seeing power, etc., as suffering, aversion arises towards it, and thus one becomes free from attachment to that environment, then for beings with self-grasping, such aversion that arises from seeing some environments as suffering is actually associated with hatred, not freedom from attachment. Because at that time there is still attachment, because they seek other happiness from suffering. Therefore, hatred characterized by aversion only exists as long as suffering exists, because it is the cause of suffering, i.e., the result. And if suffering disappears, it will again rely on its own nature, which is accompanied by attachment. The second part: If someone thinks, wouldn't it be impossible to be free from attachment? For all objects that are lovable and unlovable, a person with equanimity, without preference or aversion, is said to be free from attachment, because they have abandoned grasping at taking and rejecting objects. If someone asks: To what extent of equanimity is one said to be free from attachment? One person respectfully smears one side with sandalwood, another person hatefully with...
