Because it must be the same as the earth and the five aspects, you are also a mental factor, and by your very nature, you are a mind that grasps an object. Because the aspect of wisdom and your own aspect contradict each other, you do not grasp the true aspect. Moreover, because you are said to be the nature of perverse superimposition on the object. As it says in the *Moon Lamp Sutra*: 'What is the absence of ignorance? It is the absence of superimposition on things as they truly are.' Like that. Then, isn't it contradictory to say that ignorance is possessed in the same way as views? Because it is impossible for oneself to possess the same as oneself. If someone says that others say that ignorance is the proof that contradicts views, then which sutra says that these two are possessed in the same way? That dharma is not the proof that ignorance contradicts views, because ignorance is one-sided and the view of the perishable aggregate is one side of it, so they are possessed in the same way, which is what is to be discussed here. Third, then, what is the antidote that completely eradicates faults? The path of seeing emptiness in the aggregates as selflessness is dharma. Because it is established that it contradicts the nature of self-view and all the faults that arise from it, such as attachment, it is the antidote to them. Because you and that self-view directly contradict the way of grasping, and you enter into the situation of the object. Third, faults are dharmas. Even if the antidote is habituated, it will not be exhausted, because it is the nature of sentient beings. Just as the color of a colored object and the heat of fire, etc., are inexhaustible. If someone says that faults are dharmas. Because you are the nature of the mind, it is not inexhaustible, because the nature of your mind is not established. Because when the aspect of the antidote realizing selflessness is connected to the mind stream, you also see the causes of manifestation and reversal, etc. If, like gold, etc., is melted by fire, the part where the fire recedes will become hard again, will faults recur when separated from the antidote after being abandoned once? Then, the mind stream in which faults are completely stopped by habituating selflessness is dharma. Like the hardness of gold, because it is separated from the antidote, faults will not arise again, because it has become the nature of the antidote realizing selflessness, so it will not be separated from the antidote.

Because, just as ashes do not turn back into wood after the fire is extinguished, if there is no antidote, then the object to be abandoned may not necessarily recur. Second, to establish the reason for being an antidote, there are three points: realization of selflessness is considered the antidote to self-view; realization of selflessness is considered the antidote to craving; apart from that, there is no other way to be an antidote. The first point has three: self-view is considered the root of samsara; establishing the reason for being the root; therefore, advising to uproot the root. First, why does the realization of selflessness become the antidote to samsara? Because the root of samsara is self-view, and it directly contradicts the way self-view is held. Why is self-view the root? Because self-view is considered the root of samsara. If someone sees the aggregates as self, then he will always be attached to and crave that self, and as long as there is strong craving for the self, then that craving person will wander in samsara. Because from attachment to the self, craving for happiness will arise, and from craving, the faults of what I own will be obscured, seeing the merits, thereby through completely craving what I own, the attachment of "mine" becomes firm, because he takes this as the source of my happiness. The second point has three: self-view is considered the root of faults; if there is self-view, there will be no freedom from attachment; if one cannot be free from attachment, one will wander in samsara. First, self-view is the root of all faults, because if someone is attached to self, then he will generate attachment from his own perspective and hatred from the perspective of others, and because of being associated with these attachments and hatreds, all faults such as jealousy and stinginess will arise. The second point has two: self-view generates both attachment and non-attachment; there is no other way to abandon these two. First, the self-grasping person who wants to be non-attached to "mine" is the subject, and is inseparable from attachment to "mine", because he must be attached to self. The reason is established, the self-grasping person is the subject, and it is also impossible for there to be a reason to be free from attachment to self, because he considers self to be the source of faultless merit. The second point has two: abandoning attachment to self.
