If it is said that this contradicts the acceptance that form produced by "being" exists, then, white and other forms produced by "being", as the subject of dharma, do not depend on earth and so on in the manner of being established and existing, because the support of what has already been established is impossible. So, what does it mean to say that "what is produced by 'being' depends on 'being'?" Form and so on, as the subject of dharma, you depend on "being", the meaning of this statement is not to say that it is established and exists, because the previous "being" is your cause, or is inseparable from its own simultaneous support "being", that is, it is in an inseparable state, so you depend on "being". Apart from cause and effect and inseparability, it is not reasonable for you to depend on "being". If it is said that, just as although the wine has not deteriorated, the ability to get drunk and so on changes, and it depends in a differentiated way, so "being" and what is produced by "being" also depend in a differentiated way, then, the intoxicating power of wine, as the subject of dharma, does not truly depend on wine, because it is not a thing different from the substance of wine, because when you disappear, the substance of the support wine will also be destroyed, and when the support wine exists, the you who depend on it will not be destroyed. If it is said that, just as wine and the intoxicating power of wine are the same, the essence of "being" and mind are also non-different, then, "being" mind, as the subject of dharma, is not non-different, because it is a different entity, because the unerring consciousness with different appearances recognizes it as a different entity. Third, if "being" or the body is the support for the existence of mind, then, intention, intelligence, and conceptual thought, as the subject of dharma, as long as the body is in different states, your nature, that is, appearance, will only arise in the same way, because the body is the support for your existence, because you are consciousness. Just as before the body changes, the form and so on that depend on it arise in the same way. If it is said that this pervasion does not exist, because even if the support is the same, the appearance will change due to the object of perception, then, conceptual thought, as the subject of dharma, is not controlled by the object of perception, because it only acts according to desire. Third, therefore, what becomes the cause of the same kind is that greed arises from some previous greed and so on.

Some later things like earth will arise, because when and why? Because without depending on the body, some earlier consciousnesses will become the cause of awakening the habits of some later ones. Secondly, there are two ways to establish the reason of similar causes: by being consciousness, the similar cause is established; refuting the Samkhya's argument that has already been established. First, the mind that is just born is the subject of proof, with the preceding mind going before, because it is mind. The pervasion is: what is not mind is not the similar cause of mind. Thus, the previous life is established. Also, the word "also" includes that if it arises from the permanent body, etc., then it would become that all before and after arise simultaneously, so it is said that that is established, which is the meaning of summarizing. But there is also an explanation that it is not only established by the reason of clarity from habituation. Second, if the Samkhya says: because all things like grass, etc., possess the nature of the power of consciousness, therefore, the consciousness that is just born is considered to be preceded by the previous consciousness. Then, at the tip of grass and the elements, etc., there are a hundred elephants, and although consciousness has not been seen before, it also exists, such a proposition is the subject of proof. You say that, Samkhya, who other than a livestock would say such a shameless thing? It cannot be said. Because you are harmed by the reason of what can be seen but is not seen. How is it? The cause, grass and the elements, etc., are the subject of proof. How can you say that there are a hundred elephants and that consciousness exists? It should not exist. Even if you analyze it a hundred times, if there is the nature of a hundred elephants and consciousness, then it should become a visible nature, but it has not been seen before. Third, if there is no samsara, there will be too much fault, there are two: there will be no certainty of arising with attachment, etc.; there will be no certainty of occasionally arising attachment, etc. First, there are two: establishing too much fault; refuting the uncertain pervasion. First: ordinary people are the subject of proof, when just born, there will be no certainty of having attachment, etc., because you and attachment, etc., are of the same kind, not newly produced from a birth that has not appeared before. Second, there are two: refuting uncertainty from the perspective of cause; refuting uncertainty from the perspective of example. First, there are three: if it arises from the nature of the elements, there will be too much fault; it is the difference of the elements.
