In sequence, wind and so on, and bile and so on, are not the dharma of the fruit of phlegm, because of the inverted confusion with these three in sequence, because it is seen that those with excessive phlegm and no bile have great hatred and so on. If at that time, because the nature of bile is mixed with phlegm, there is no fault of confusing hatred with bile, then that which has phlegm, as the subject, the dharma of bile, other than that hatred, why is it not seen that the skin is yellow and the odor is foul, etc.? It must be seen, because the power of bile exists without obstruction. If it is said that each of wind, bile, and phlegm can also generate all three poisons, then ignorance and so on, as the subject, are not the dharma of the fruit of all of wind and so on, if so, then all sentient beings with the same phlegm, as the subject, are established as the same as desire, because they exist the same as phlegm, it will become such a fault. If it is said that although the cause, the four elements, are the same, the result, the form of sentient beings, etc., are not the same, similarly, although the cause, phlegm, is the same, the result, desire, is not the same, so there is no fault? If it is said that the form of sentient beings, etc., for that which has special differences, the good and bad deeds, are not the conditions of the master, but are born from the four elements themselves, then from the four elements giving rise to form, etc., sentient beings, as the subject, form, etc., are established as the same, because the cause, the four elements, are the same, this is the same dispute. The second has three, establishing the thesis, establishing the three aspects, refuting the rejection of faults. The first is, ignorance and so on, as the subject, are not the respective proximate causes of wind and so on, the fault is that wind and so on have differences of increase and decrease, but you do not have differences of increase and decrease. The second is, if it is said that the sign is not established, because when bile increases, the body is hot, so it is seen that hatred increases, then just that much will not cause that sign to become unestablished, if so, then all of wind, bile, and phlegm, as the subject, become the proximate cause of hatred, because you change, the body is hot, so hatred will increase. If it is admitted, then all of wind and so on will not generate hatred either, because all are the same hatred. The root sign has pervasion, because the cause of the proximate cause of greed, etc., phlegm, etc., will increase.
