Because it is subject to the conditions of dependent origination. The subject matter, the meditation on the suffering of conditioned existence, you are not liberated by that alone, because you are only the basis for the view that realizes the selflessness of otherness, because liberation occurs through the view that realizes the emptiness of the self of otherness. The remaining meditations, such as meditating on impermanence and suffering, are for the purpose of generating the view that realizes emptiness, therefore, the Bhagavan also said that from realizing impermanence one realizes suffering, and from realizing suffering one realizes selflessness. As it is said: Monks, is form permanent or impermanent? Venerable, it is impermanent. Whatever is impermanent, is it happiness or suffering? Venerable, it is suffering. Is it reasonable to regard that which is impermanent, suffering, and subject to change as 'This is me,' 'This is mine,' 'This is myself'? Venerable, that is not reasonable. Third, if one is not free from attachment, one will wander in samsara, which has two aspects: showing that having three qualities is a samsaric being, and if one does not have three qualities, it is too extreme. First: The self-grasping person who knows 'I' as suffering, is a samsaric being, and it is impossible to obtain liberation, because it is not the kind that is liberated from afflictions and karma, because it is not free from attachment to the self, has attachment to what belongs to the self, and relies on all actions of accumulating karma in order to obtain what belongs to the self. Second: If, at the time of liberation, because there is no attachment to what belongs to the self, then the statement 'not free from attachment' is not established, then at the time of liberation, the subject matter, the enjoyer of what belongs to the self, also does not exist, because what belongs to the self itself is unwanted and has been abandoned. If you admit it, then at the time of liberation, the owner of what you admit also does not exist, because there is no agent or enjoyer. The pervasion is admitted, because it is believed that the self has the nature of an agent and an enjoyer. Third, therefore, the advice to uproot the root is: The person who desires liberation, the view of the perishable collection arising from the seeds of similar previous lives with beginningless causes, through meditating on selflessness.

务必从根源上断除。任何希求解脱的人,如果不能证悟无我,仅凭修习痛苦等是无法从轮回中解脱的,因此。第二,修习无我能够断除贪欲,这方面有三点:破斥仪轨是能对治的论证;驳倒仪轨不是能对治的论证;因此,阐明了正确的见地是对治。第一点有三方面:破斥灌顶仪轨是能对治的;破斥以咒语加持是能对治的;破斥侍奉五火是能对治的。第一,如果即使没有从根本上断除我见,也能通过获得自在天的灌顶而解脱,因为自在天的经典中是这样说的。那么,对于有证悟的人来说,仅仅因为自在天的经典中这样说,就说通过自在天的仪轨可以解脱,你也是不能完全令人满意的,因为你没有看到自在天的经典所说的那种事物是具有你所信奉的那种作用的理由。第二,如果通过自在天的经典中所说的咒语加持就能从轮回中解脱,因为那样加持后种子就不会生出苗芽。那么,看到以咒语加持种子后种子不生苗芽而成立的仪轨,并不能成立人也不会产生后世,如果成立,那么人被涂上麻油,被火烧,被煮等也会从轮回中解脱,因为对种子那样做就不会生出苗芽,这样就会出现过失。第三,侍奉五火就能从轮回中解脱,因为侍奉五火能使人的身体比以前更轻,因此,就说是罪业已经穷尽了。那么,侍奉五火的人,你的身体因为以前重,后来轻,就说已经摧毁了罪业是不对的,因为你这个身体的沉重是因为地和水的成分消失了,所以以前重后来轻,而不是罪业沉重,因为罪业不是有形的。第二方面有四点:仪轨不会使转生之因衰减;破斥认为会衰减的论证;驳倒不会衰减的论证;

It is imperative to eradicate it from the root. Anyone who seeks liberation, if they cannot realize selflessness, they cannot be liberated from samsara by merely practicing suffering, etc. Therefore. Second, cultivating selflessness can eliminate craving, and there are three aspects to this: refuting the argument that rituals are the antidote; refuting the argument that rituals are not the antidote; therefore, it is clarified that the correct view is the antidote. The first point has three aspects: refuting that the empowerment ritual is the antidote; refuting that blessing with mantras is the antidote; refuting that serving the five fires is the antidote. First, if even without fundamentally eradicating the view of self, one can be liberated by obtaining the empowerment of Ishvara, because the scriptures of Ishvara say so. Then, for those who have realization, merely because the scriptures of Ishvara say so, to say that one can be liberated through the rituals of Ishvara is not entirely satisfactory to you, because you have not seen the reason why the things spoken of in the scriptures of Ishvara have the effect that you believe they have. Second, if one can be liberated from samsara by blessing with the mantras spoken of in the scriptures of Ishvara, because after such blessing, the seed will not produce sprouts. Then, seeing the ritual that establishes that the seed does not produce sprouts after being blessed with mantras does not establish that a person will not produce a future rebirth. If it did, then a person being smeared with sesame oil, burned by fire, boiled, etc., would also be liberated from samsara, because doing so to the seed will not produce sprouts, and this would lead to a fault. Third, serving the five fires can liberate one from rebirth, because serving the five fires makes a person's body lighter than before, therefore, it is said that sins have been exhausted. Then, the person who serves the five fires, it is not correct to say that your body has destroyed sins because it was heavy before and light later, because the heaviness of your body is due to the disappearance of the elements of earth and water, so it was heavy before and light later, but not because sins are heavy, because sins are not corporeal. The second aspect has four points: rituals do not diminish the cause of rebirth; refuting the argument that they do diminish; refuting the argument that they do not diminish;
