Explanation of the actual meaning. Explanation of the actual meaning. Explanation of the established object becoming valid. The second has three parts: explaining the established object becoming valid, explaining its three proofs, and explaining the necessity of praising with validity. The first has two parts: showing the Bhagavan as a valid person, and explaining the necessity of mentioning "becoming." The first has three parts: showing the validity that comes from the sutras, refuting contradictions between one's own and other schools, and applying it to the meaning of the occasion. The first has three parts: explaining the definition along with its meaning, refuting the three faults of the general definition, and explaining the determinants on the basis of the subject. First, in the offering praise of the sutra, if the Bhagavan is praised from the perspective of validity, then what is the nature of validity? By what is it established as valid? Here, the nature of validity is knowledge that is not deceptive. That which is not deceptive also has three distinctions: In what action is it not deceptive? It is not deceptive in the object of engagement and disengagement. Which agent is not deceptive? The mind that measures how things exist according to valid knowledge is not deceptive. How is the action not deceptive? Because it exists with its own characteristics, engaging in it means that it abides in being able to perform its function, which is not deceptive. Because it lacks its own characteristics, disengaging in it means that it is empty of being able to perform its function, which is why it is not deceptive. The Sakya school's explanation is different from others. The second has three parts: refuting the faults of non-pervasiveness, over-pervasiveness, and impossibility. The first is: The definition of validity, in non-deception, has the fault of non-pervasiveness, because the validity arising from sound does not have non-deception. If it is asked whether "arising from sound" refers to understanding the intention of motivation from the expressing sound, or whether it refers to understanding the meaning of what is expressed? According to the first, then that which arises from such a sound is also the subject, and is not deceptive, because it shows the speaker's manifest intention to express as the object of engagement. Showing that clearly is the speaker's action, that is, the aspect of the object, such as a pot, that has become the object of the intention to express, which is very clear in the mind, that is, the intention to express that arises, in the establishment of that, the sound called "a pot devoid of five states" is the subject, it is valid, it is indeed suitable as a reason, because it possesses the three characteristics. Therefore, the mind that relies on it is not deceptive in the object of engagement, so it is valid. According to the second, then that sound itself is the subject, arising from what is expressed that one clings to.

Because from that, the recognition of the meaning expressed by one's own attachment is not valid cognition, because it is the cause of the meaning expressed by one's own attachment, and not the result. Secondly, the definition of valid cognition, "non-deceptive," has the fault of being too pervasive, because conventional wisdom is non-deceptive. If it is said like that, like the conventional knowledge of the general characteristics of the vase, etc., led by the manifest perception of grasping the vase, as a subject, it is not considered non-deceptive with respect to the vase, because it grasps by adding to the vase grasped by the manifest perception of grasping the vase that it leads. Thirdly, the Vaibhashikas say that the definition of valid cognition has the fault of being impossible in knowledge, because that is impossible in the basis of valid cognition, the corporeal sense faculty. If it is said like that, the knowledge that cognizes the object of measurement is valid cognition, but the corporeal sense faculty, etc., are not valid cognition, because the result of valid cognition has two kinds of results: the result of determination and the result of offering. From the first, when one knows the meaning of things to be taken and things to be abandoned and engages in taking and abandoning, knowledge is the main thing, not the sense faculty, etc. If there is knowledge with the appearance of one's own object of measurement, then there is the second result, the cognition of meaning, but if not, even if there are sense faculties, etc., they are useless. The latter reason is established, because the knowledge with the appearance of an object is different, and therefore the term for the cognition of the meaning of knowledge is also different. Thirdly, then, how are the definition "non-deceptive" and "knowledge" determined on the basis of valid cognition? Conventional valid cognition, as a subject, cognizes that its own essence is knowledge from self-awareness, because the self-experiencing self-aware manifest perception is able to lead to the determination that it is knowledge itself. This shows that all conventional valid cognitions are self-aware in the aspect of the definition, the part of knowledge, and the self-aware manifest perception is self-aware in the aspect of the definition, the part of non-deception, because the determination of the object to be entered is led by its own power, and the determination of the part that is not deceptive is led by its own power, and these two points are the same. Then, because it is non-different from knowledge, can it also lead to the determination of non-deception by its own power? Conventional valid cognition, as a subject, determination is the term for wisdom, from the subsequent definite understanding
