Thus, it shows the attainment of transformation. Even if transformation is attained, it refutes the cutting off and destroying. It refutes the proof of not attaining transformation. First, the path of seeing selflessness, which has already been explained in the previous teachings, is the subject of dharma. It is the path that becomes the antidote to samsara, because when you perfect meditation through habituation, the stream of consciousness of the meditator is completely transformed into the basis of faults, thus becoming the path of attaining transformation into the nature of realizing selflessness. Second, there are three: showing the lack of ability to cut off and destroy. Explaining in detail the proof of lack of ability. Refuting the debate that the way of holding the proof is contradictory. First, if the mind with faults can be transformed into faultlessness once, but the faults such as attachment to self and mine will still arise again in this mind, so there is no complete liberation from samsara. For example, just as the path arises in the mind with faults. If you say so, then the mind transformed from the practice of the path is the subject of dharma. Faults will not arise again, because there is no ability for faults to arise again. Second, there are four: the contradiction between the holding of the antidote to cutting off, and the antidote truly enters. Because there is a difference between nature and suddenness, there was no ability before. Even if there is ability, the antidote can be generated effortlessly. With three differences, even if you try, you cannot prevent the antidote. First, why is there no ability? This mind transformed from the path of meditation is the subject of dharma. You do not have the ability to generate faults such as self-grasping again, because in general, in the view of the Sutra School, the non-erroneous consciousness holding the object's dharma or reality is holding the aspect of how the object exists, and the object itself is also the cause of this consciousness as it is. Like this, the non-erroneous consciousness with an object, you have the nature of holding the object. From you, self-grasping is due to a sudden cause, deviating from holding the reality of the object, and to remove it, you must rely on a valid cognition that is harmful to the cause itself. For example, instability of the mindstream arises due to a sudden cause, and is easy to separate, like the illusion of a snake on a rope. Second, afflictions are the subject of dharma.

Through familiarizing with the path, the mind-stream transforms into the nature of realizing selflessness, such a mind later has no ability to cause harm, because even before seeing selflessness, the mind originally had no ability to cause harm. The reason is established, because the nature of the mind is luminosity, and defilements are temporary. This shows that previously, in the state of self-nature purity, there was originally no ability to harm, so later, in the state of temporary freedom from defilements, there is also no temporary ability to harm. If it is explained as the time when one first sees selflessness, then the effect of the first two sentences is not exerted. Third, even if it is assumed that there is the ability to generate faults, then for the object of the transformed mind-stream, defilements do not have the ability to exist permanently, because defilements have the essence of being able to generate the view of selflessness that harms them. Just as fire cannot last long on wet ground. This shows that in the learning stage, even if the abandonment abandoned by the worldly path may be lost, it can be quickly restored. Fourth, all harms are completely pacified, having the characteristic of bliss, therefore there is no harm, and because it takes impermanence etc. as its object, it enters into the true meaning, and because practice is perfected, for the mind that has transformed into the nature of realizing selflessness, even if one strives to generate the fault of inverted wisdom, it cannot be prevented, because wisdom itself is the path, is on the side of realizing selflessness, that is, it is natural. The third part has three points: Merely having different ways of grasping is not an antidote. Merely suppressing one side is not an antidote. Therefore, the antidote that completely eradicates is explained. The first point is: If seeing selflessness and grasping at self have contradictory objects and aspects, and it becomes the antidote to grasping at self, then do desire and hatred also become antidotes to each other because their objects and aspects are contradictory? Desire and anger, even if the ways of grasping are different, are not mutually harmful, because they are both produced from the same cause of grasping at self, and also become objects of mutual cause and effect. The second point is: The antidote to hatred is loving-kindness.
