It is the same as before. Secondly, even though forms and so on newly arise from the elements, they must exist in the elements, just as attachment and so on are. Therefore, the fault of "what did not exist before arises in the elements" is not certain. If you think so, then attachment and so on, like forms and so on, you are not necessarily present in the elements, because forms and so on are inseparable from the elements, while you can be separated from the elements. If forms and so on are inseparable from the elements, then attachment and so on are also the same. If they are the same, then attachment and so on and the elements should all arise together in all cases, because they are inseparable things, which would be a fault. If attachment and so on depend on external objective conditions to arise, and sometimes do not arise even though the elements exist, then attachment and so on, the external object of apprehension is not necessarily what causes you to arise, because even without an external object, you arise by taking your own conceptualization as an object. Secondly, it is not certain that attachment and so on sometimes arise, then attachment and so on, for some people, will not necessarily arise, because they are causeless, because they lack a similar cause. Or, if you think that the elements are the direct cause, then all minds such as desire, etc., should arise for all people at all times, because for all people, its direct cause, the elements, are present at all times. This is admitting the sign. Secondly, there are four ways to establish characteristics such as impermanence: establishing impermanence, suffering, selflessness, and emptiness. First, the aggregates of appropriation, which are the basis of the truth of suffering, are impermanent, because they sometimes disappear. Second, the aggregates of appropriation are suffering, because they are the basis of the fault of clinging to self and what belongs to self, and of birth, old age, sickness, death, etc., and also because they are dominated by the cause of craving. Third, the aggregates of appropriation...

Not self, because it does not conform to the nature of self, because it is impermanent, multiple, and other-dependent. Fourth, the aggregates of grasping are not something that I have blessed as my own, because I am not the one who blesses you, because I am not your cause, because I am permanent. Pervasive: How can a permanent thing produce a result? It cannot. I am a permanent, single entity, and it is impossible for multiple results to arise sequentially at different times, because a permanent thing cannot produce a result. Furthermore, I and other permanent things cannot be the cause of suffering, etc., because even if other causes of suffering, etc., gather, but because you are not present, suffering, etc., cease, and you do not have this function. Pervasive: Even if other causes of some results gather, but if some dharma is missing, the result cannot arise, therefore, from that gathering, other causes can be inferred, otherwise not. Second, establishing that suffering has a cause, explaining the truth of origination: Here, those who follow the Ornament divide the remaining three truths into four types, and Lha-tsunpa establishes the remaining three types by explaining the three aspects of the cause of the truth of origination, the cessation of the truth of cessation, and the path of the truth of the path. If explained according to the latter, there are three: establishing that suffering has a cause, refuting the conception of the cause as something else, and showing that the main cause is craving. The first has two: establishing the existence of a cause by occasional arising, and refuting the reasoning that establishes no cause. First, this suffering dharma is established as having a cause, because it arises occasionally. Pervasive: If there is no cause, it should always exist or never exist, but not occasionally, because if there is no cause, it should not depend on other conditions. Second, some naturalists say: Just as the sharpness of thorns, etc., arises without a cause, so should this suffering arise without a cause. Thus they say.

English

It is reasonable, like the sharpness of thorns and the truth of suffering, these are also dharmas, they have causes, because other things precede them, and are the places where they follow and reverse, this exists. Generally speaking, whatever precedes other things, relies on it to produce other subsequent things, or when anything preceding other things changes or reverses, the subsequent things also reverse, this place of following and reversing is considered the cause of the subsequent things. So, the touch produced by the objective condition of eye consciousness, is it the cause of eye consciousness? Because the other subsequent thing, eye consciousness, is the place where it follows and reverses. The touch produced by the objective condition of eye consciousness, is a cause for seeing, that is, eye consciousness, but it is an indirect cause, because it is the cause of the form produced by the objective condition of eye consciousness. Second, in this way, suffering is proven to have a cause, and it will not arise from causes of different kinds, such as suffering, it is not possible to arise from Ishvara and the permanent master, etc., because in general, permanence is denied as a cause, because permanence does not have the ability to produce results. The third has three points: showing that craving is the main factor, quoting scriptures to prove it, and only explaining that craving is the cause. First, because suffering is not without cause, nor is it caused by permanence, therefore, the craving for desire, which is called the origin of affliction, including the body and enjoyment of existence, is the cause of suffering, because, taking humans as an example, beings have a slight attachment to the differences of objects, that is, accepting them, all of which are caused by the desire to obtain that object, that is, craving. If the desire for existence is the cause of suffering, then in the sutra, what is the noble truth of the origin of suffering? It is this craving, which is the cause of rebirth, accompanied by the desire for joy, the state of being very fond of this and that, such as the craving for desire, the craving for existence, and the craving for destruction, thus saying that all three cravings are the cause, is this not contradictory? It is not contradictory, because what is said above is the craving for existence.
