White quality and other dharmas, the term possessing number and so forth is multiple, because the term possessing number and so forth is not based on the reason of other meanings of number and so forth that you possess. The sign and pervasion are accepted. If asserted, it is refuted by not being multiple. If it is said that white quality and so forth also have other meanings of number and so forth, then quality, it would become non-different from substance, because the characteristic of substance, which is the cause of having function, having quality, and being suitable for aggregation, depends on your own self-aspect. Therefore, the terms for pot and the number of pot, etc., although what you two express are not other meanings, they are different objects and not multiple, because what you two express are different by the distinction of reverse entities, just as the two terms "not this quality" and "this quality is not a substance" are not multiple because their object reverse entities are different. The second has two parts: explaining the way of expressing dharma and dharmin, and explaining the way of expressing genus and collection. The first is: the number of pot, etc., as a dharma, it is impossible to express the number of pot, etc., as different from the pot by the sixth case, because there is no difference in meaning from the pot. If it is said that the terms expressing things, i.e., dharmas, such as "possessing the number of pot," etc., whatever shows the possessing of number, etc., as different from the pot possessing it, that is also a dharma, because it is a special cutting off and abandoning of other dharmas of the pot other than number, because it is a term expressing the dharma that enters into the number of the pot. Therefore, for the listener who wants to abandon other dharmas and only understand the number of the pot, without throwing all the other dharmas of the pot into the object of expression, the term expressing "the number of the pot," although you express the number of the pot as a dharma different from the pot, that alone does not establish that the number of the pot, etc., are different in meaning from the pot, because you express the two as different only on the grounds that the number of the pot, etc., are different in reverse entity from the pot. For example, in some cases, possessing fingers is not different in meaning from fingers.

It is also like saying "having fingers" as different. Furthermore, the sound of "vase," as a subject, you and the dharma of "the number of vases," although both refer to the meaning of one vase, you are famous as the sound that speaks of the subject, because all the characteristics of you, the vase, are directed towards the vase that is the object of speech, therefore the statement of the subject is determined in this way. For example, if it is said that "the finger has changes," then all the characteristics of the finger are directed towards the object of speech. Secondly, what is the difference between the statement of a collection and the statement of a type? The sound of "vase," as a subject, relying on the eight particle substances of the vase, is the sound of the statement of a collection. Because the constituent particles of the vase have both common abilities and individual abilities, from the difference of individual abilities, forms and so on are produced, such as the production of holding form, which is from the perspective of abandoning the object of speech, the similarity of those forms and so on, that is, the common result, is not the cause of holding water, wood and so on are to be distinguished, because you will enter. Therefore, like "the form of the vase, etc.," the collection and the possessor of the collection are the same basis, that is, the sound of not allowing commonality, because the sound of the vase abandons the form of the vase as the object of speech. The sound of the statement of type, and the sound of the possessor of type, the same basis is permissible, because the possessor of type is not abandoned as the object of speech. For example, "Shapa is a tree" like this. The sound of the statement of type, and the possessor of type, the same basis is permissible, the sound of the statement of collection, and the possessor of collection, the same basis is not permissible, therefore, the sound of the statement of type and collection, as a subject, relying on one dharma and abandoning other differences and not abandoning other differences, this is not your difference, because relying on individual dharmas, the possessor of type does not abandon the object of speech, and the possessor of collection abandons the object of speech, this is your difference. If the vase and the form of the vase, etc., have no difference in meaning, then like "the form of the vase," is it not necessary to say that the form and the vase are different? The form of the vase and so on, is the general term of the collection, the vase distinguishes the branches as characteristics, the form and smell of the vase, etc.
