The situation of changing according to the increase and decrease of mind is not existent. Because it does not depend on the increase and decrease of mind, but increases and decreases according to the increase and decrease of its own immediate cause. Third, the fundamental reason is not established, because the strength and decline of the body will lead to the clarity and obscurity of wisdom. If you say so, then the strength and decline of the body lead to changes in wisdom, etc., this is the subject. The strength and decline of the body are not directly produced by helping wisdom, because the strength and decline of the body do not help the mind, and wisdom will not be helped, so the body is produced by indirectly helping wisdom. Also, if you say that the strength and decline of the body will produce attachment and aversion, so the fundamental reason is not established. For inappropriate attention and some groups, attachment and hatred, etc., increase sequentially with the strength and decline of the body, which is also the subject. It is not directly produced from the strength and decline of the body, but sequentially produced from the mind consciousness of the feelings of pleasure and pain produced by the strength and decline of the body. Moreover, the feelings of pleasure and pain are also close to the difference in internal tactile sensations of the balance and imbalance of the elements produced by the strength and decline of the body, and the collection of the body's sense gates produces the cycle of body consciousness. By showing that greed, etc., are not directly produced from the body, this is the subject. The loss of memory and ignorance, etc., caused by the gathering plague and alcohol, etc., are also said not to be directly produced from alcohol, etc. Because alcohol, etc., will produce differences in internal tactile sensations, and the root consciousness produced from this will change the mind consciousness, thereby showing the cause of these productions. Indirect help is also not an immediate cause, for example, the sound of a tiger being born from some cows with special bloodlines, and the blood flowing from stabbing others with weapons, etc., will indirectly produce mental confusion and fear, etc., sequentially through hearing and seeing, but they are not the immediate cause of these. Fourth, because the body is not the direct cause of consciousness, the mind is the subject. It depends on the previous moment of mind, because it will not arise without the previous moment of mind, so it must be the previous moment of mind.

because of the habituation of activities. The fifth (refutation of annihilationism) has three parts: refuting the extreme view that body and mind are one, establishing that wrong views and desire precede, and establishing the self-continuum through reasoning, and refuting the absence of past and future lives merely because they are not seen. First, having refuted that mind is the result of the body, the refutation that it is the power or quality of the body, i.e., the body is the subject to be proven. For example, just as the mind that engages in hearing, crafts, etc., relying on the previous moment of mind, at some point the qualities of hearing, etc., will appear, so too will you manifest the qualities of hearing, etc. Because you are not different from the mind in which those qualities appear. Second, ordinary sentient beings are the subject to be proven. The desire to obtain happiness and the desire to abandon suffering, with attachment to self, are prior, because they are not arbitrarily bound by others such as Ishvara, but completely accept even inferior states. This is pervasive, because the inverted mind that grasps suffering as happiness, and the desire that binds to birth, are the cause of rebirth. Whoever does not have these two, wrong views and desire, will not be reborn. Third, if it is said that sentient beings are the subject to be proven. There are no past and future lives, because one does not see going to the future life and coming from the past life. If it is said that all people have not seen it, that is not established. If you claim that you have not seen it yourself, then the Charvaka is the subject to be proven. Merely because you have not seen it, you cannot establish that sentient beings do not come and go. Because your senses are not clear, therefore you do not see the birth of sentient beings, not because it does not exist. For example, just as a person with unclear eyes cannot see even a small amount of smoke. If it is said that the sentient being taking birth is the subject to be proven. It is not allowed to enter the place of birth without obstruction, because it has a body. If it is said that some sentient beings can enter some embodied beings without obstruction, because the intermediate state body, although it has a body, is a subtle and clear body, therefore it can enter the womb, etc., without obstruction. For example, water in a new pottery, and mercury in refined gold. If it is said that entering the womb is also unreasonable, because it is not seen.
