If it is said that the pervasion is uncertain, there is no fault. Because our reason has the characteristic of "being related to the increase and decrease of other entities," it does not involve fire and heat. Thus, heat, in a way that is different from fire, you do not increase or decrease with the increase or decrease of fire, because your relationship with fire as another entity has been prevented by valid cognition. Therefore, attachment and so on, it is possible that you will be interrupted in the elements, because in a way that is different from the elements, you increase or decrease with the increase or decrease of the elements. This is the pervasion. Any quality that exists outside of the qualified entity, those qualities that are related to the order of differences of increase and decrease of the qualified entity, those differences outside of the qualified entity will be interrupted in some cases. For example, qualities such as white, which are different from the elements, will be interrupted in some subsequent differences of the elements, just like that. Secondly, form and so on are newly produced from the elements, but necessarily exist in the elements, and attachment and so on are also like that, so the inference that "previously did not exist in the elements" is uncertain. If it is said like this, attachment and so on, you are not necessarily in the elements like form and so on, because form and so on are inseparable and undifferentiated from the elements, while you are separable from the elements. If form and so on are inseparable from the elements, then attachment and so on are also the same, if it is said like this, form and so on, your inseparability from the elements is not the same as attachment and so on, if it is the same, then attachment and so on and the elements, necessarily arise together in all aspects, because they are inseparable things, this will become a fault. If it is said that attachment and so on depend on external objects, so even if there are elements, sometimes they do not arise, then, attachment and so on, the external object is also not necessarily what makes you arise sometimes, because even without an external object, you arise by making the object merely what is conceptualized by yourself. Secondly, the necessity of attachment and so on not arising sometimes is inferred, attachment and so on, it will become that there is no necessity of arising in some people, because there is no cause, that is, the same category.

Or, because of the lack of similar causes. If it is thought that the four great elements, such as earth, water, fire, and wind, are the real cause, then all the minds of greed, etc., are Dharmas, and for all beings, they will arise at any time, because for all beings, their real cause—the four great elements—exists at any time. This is the acceptance of the thesis. Second, establishing the four characteristics of impermanence, etc.: that is, establishing impermanence, suffering, selflessness, and emptiness. First, the aggregates of clinging, which are the characteristics of the truth of suffering, are Dharmas, and are impermanent, because they sometimes disappear. Second, the aggregates of clinging are Dharmas, and are suffering, because they are the basis of faults—attachment to self and what belongs to self, and birth, old age, sickness, and death, etc., and also because they are dominated by the cause—craving. Third, the aggregates of clinging are Dharmas, and are not self, because they do not conform to the nature of self, because they are impermanent, numerous, and subject to others. Fourth, the aggregates of clinging are Dharmas, and are not what I have blessed as mine, because I am not the one who blesses you, because I am not your cause, because I am permanent. This is pervasive, how can a permanent Dharma be the cause of producing fruit? Because it is not. I am a Dharma, you, this permanent Dharma, cannot produce many fruits in different times in sequence, because the permanent Dharma is not the cause of producing fruit. Furthermore, I and other permanent Dharmas are all Dharmas, and it is impossible to be the cause of suffering, etc., because even if other causes of suffering, etc., gather, but because of the lack of you, suffering, etc., will disappear, and this is not what you have. This is pervasive, because even if other causes of some fruits gather, but because of the lack of some Dharma, the fruit will not arise, therefore, from this gathering, other causes can be inferred, but not others. Second, establishing that suffering has a cause, thereby explaining the truth of the origin: Here, with adornment and its followers, the remaining three truths are also divided into four types, and the gods take the cause of the origin of suffering, the cessation of the truth of cessation, and the path of the truth of the path.
