Explanation of the intermediate chapter. Explanation of the intermediate chapter. Final analysis. The second part consists of two aspects: the final analysis and the actual content. First, some ancient scholars divided the praises in the sutras into two types: sequential narration and inverted narration. The first type explains concepts such as measure, becoming, and the intention to benefit beings. This is a misunderstanding of the context of the scripture. Here, "becoming a measure" is taken as the object to be proven, and then its arguments are narrated in four ways, both sequentially and in reverse order. It is not that measure and becoming are narrated in reverse order. If someone thinks that the phrase "because of what it is a measure" narrates measure in reverse order, then the phrase "therefore it is a measure" would also become narrating measure in reverse order in the case of sequential narration. Therefore, these two scriptures are a summary of two explanation methods, not a scripture narrated in reverse order. Explanation of the actual content. Explanation of the "becoming a measure" to be proven. The second part is divided into three points: explaining the "becoming a measure" to be proven, explaining its three modes of argumentation, and explaining the necessity of praising with measure. The first part is divided into two points: showing the Bhagavan (Sanskrit, Bhagavān, Blessed One, 梵文具 भगवन्,bhagavan,有福者) as a measure, and explaining the necessity of stating "becoming." The first part is divided into three points: showing the measure that comes from the sutras, eliminating the contradiction between one's own argument and other arguments, and applying it to the current meaning. The first part is divided into three points: explaining the definition with meaning, eliminating the three faults of the general definition, and explaining the determination on the basis. First, if the Bhagavan is praised in the sutra's praise in terms of measure, then what is the nature of measure? By what is it determined to be a measure? Here, the nature of measure is knowledge that does not deceive. Not deceiving also has three characteristics: In what action does it not deceive? It does not deceive in the objects of entering and exiting. What author does not deceive? The wisdom that measures how things truly exist with measure does not deceive. How does the action not deceive? Because it has its own characteristics, when entering, it exists with the ability to fulfill the purpose, so it does not deceive. Because it does not have its own characteristics, when exiting, it is empty of the ability to fulfill the purpose, so it does not deceive. The Sakya school's explanation is unique. The second part is divided into three points: eliminating the faults of non-pervasiveness, over-pervasiveness, and impossibility. First, the definition of measure is:

If it is said that the fault of non-pervasiveness exists because there is no non-deception in the valid cognition arising from sound. If so, does the so-called arising from sound mean understanding the intention of the speaker from the sound of the expression, or understanding the meaning of what is said? If it is the former, then the dharma arising from such a sound is also non-deceptive, because it shows the object that the speaker clearly wants to enter in the expression. Clearly showing that is the speaker's action, that is, to accomplish the intention to speak that appears very clearly in the mind, such as a vase, which becomes the object of the mind of wanting to speak. The sound of the vase, which is in five states, is valid cognition, and can become a reason, because it possesses three characteristics. Therefore, the wisdom that relies on it is valid cognition because it does not deceive the object of entry. If it is the latter, then the sound itself, from the perspective of arising from its own object of attachment, understanding its own object of attachment from it, that is not valid cognition, because it is the cause of its own object of attachment, not the result. Second, if it is said that the definition of valid cognition has the fault of being too pervasive, because conventional wisdom is non-deceptive. A conventional consciousness such as a conceptual thought about the general characteristic of a vase led by direct perception of the vase is not non-deceptive about the vase, because it grasps by adding to the vase grasped by the direct perception of the vase that leads itself. Third, the Vaibhashikas say that the definition of valid cognition has the fault of impossibility, because it is impossible for the sense faculty with form, which is the basis of the definition of valid cognition. If so, the wisdom that understands the object to be measured is valid cognition itself, but the sense faculty with form, etc., is not valid cognition, because the result of valid cognition has two kinds, namely the decisive result and the offering result. From the former, because one can distinguish and understand the meaning of objects to be taken and abandoned and engage in taking and abandoning, wisdom is the main thing, but the sense faculty, etc., is not. Moreover, if there is wisdom with the aspect of its own object to be measured, then there is the second result, namely understanding the meaning. If it does not exist, then even if the sense faculty, etc., exists, it is useless. The latter reason is established, because wisdom with the aspect of the object exists separately, therefore it can understand the meaning of wisdom.
