In reality, what is being said does not engage with the literal meaning, because it is unrelated to the so-called 'five aggregates of this life.' If it is said that 'similarities are not necessarily caused by direct causes,' this is not a clear answer, as it is similar to this. The five aggregates of this life become the cause of the form aggregate of formless realm beings, which means that through the habits left by it, there exists a subtle form aggregate that serves as the basis of the mind, but it does not mean that the five aggregates actually exist, because this would lead to the fault of formless realm beings having an intermediate state. The intention of the Ornamentor (referring to Śāntarakṣita) and his followers in explaining habits as the cause is also this. No one else has appeared in the Land of Snows (referring to Tibet) who speaks truthfully like this. The second point is: the body and mind at the time of death are not the cause and condition of the subsequent body and mind, because they are not observed there. If it is said that the subsequent body is its component, that is, the object produced by conditions is the mind, and in order to prevent the immediate cause from being the body itself at the time of death, it is not observed in this way, then this argument itself is not a correct argument that can determine the conclusion to be proved, because it has been fully explained before that it is not a correct argument that can determine the conclusion to be proved. If it is said that although not observing cannot prevent it, it can be prevented by signs such as being a sense faculty (referring to the six senses), being the mind, etc., then the sense faculties, etc., are also not valid arguments for preventing it, because for preventing it, it possesses a remainder of doubt. The third point is: the sense faculty at the time of death, if other conditions are complete and there are no obstacles, then the production of other subsequent sense faculties will also inevitably be realized, because it is a sense faculty. For example, the previous sense faculty of this life has the ability to generate its own similar subsequent sense faculty, which is obvious, because it is seen that when the previous sense faculty becomes clear or turbid, the subsequent sense faculty also becomes clear or turbid. If it is said that the sense faculty of this life is not produced from the previous sense faculty, but from a permanent body, then for a sentient being, because the previous cause is permanent, it would lead to many similar sense faculties being produced simultaneously, because the direct cause of many similar sense faculties is the permanent body, and the body is permanent. Also, the mind.
